one nice thing about this series has been realizing that Triston Casas f***ing blows

he looks like one of those slow twitch behemoth 1B prospects who will have trouble getting to his power in game

like Justin Smoak or Nomar Mazara...

doesn't really have that lightning strike swing like certain other fatties show. e.g. Rowdy Tellez

Sometimes you need your stopper to stop a losing skid

Gausman is just the guy to do this

f*** yes. Bring it on.

Thats the definition of an ACE. Are you my ACE Gausman.. Oh, and can you pitch 9 innings please. ;)

Wow! All our great left handed power has returned (Biggio/Belt) and Varsho has been promoted to cleanup.

Does the Red Sox pitcher only throw 85 or something? Is Kirk ready to pinch hit when the red sox bring in their first righty reliever?

Also sort of funny that Tapia is hitting lead off. Imagine if Schneider did this last year. Gave Springer the day off for elbow rehabilitation (guy could hardly swing last year) and put Tapia leadoff.

bahhh... Schneider or probably Charlie probably did and I just don't remember it.

What is with Springer come to think of it? Last year he was hitting way better even though he only had one elbow and was in very serious pain after every swing.

In 2022 Raimel Tapia had 6 starts at lead off, 32 at bats and did a very excellent job, posting an above average .344 on base percentage the real mans way (no walks)

His timing is clearly off, and he is not being patient enough, but the measurements for power and batted ball profile and contact are all fine.

I think he's perfectly fine and just in big slump. Also, unlucky.

Judging by tonight's line up. the Jays at best are a third or fourth place team in the ALE. How much are these guys getting paid?

Why so wishy washy? Why not just go with last place.

Third or fourth place in the AL East is like a 90-95 win team.

Boston's guy is a pretty easy guy to figure out. Fastball, slider, change.

fastballs to RHB he favours the sinker. about 50/50 sinker/4seam to lefties

slider he throws to RHB at about a 2to 1 rate, changeups he throws to lefties at about 2 to 1

I really want this team to hang to Bo.

Defense can be taught, those hitting hands cannot.

I want to keep him too. He could lead the majors in hits for a decade. The hit tool is nuts. He works hard.

And he could eventually move to 2B

98.3, 105.5, 98.5 and 96.5.

Yet 0 runs

Sigh
