We lost the second because we signed Bassitt right?

Correct, forfeited our second rounder and 500k from our international bonus pool.

Jays need Outfield propects maybe this is the year to snag one lol

Bryce Eldridge kinda jumped out for me at our pick as two-way talent. 6'8 frame and tons of lefty power.

That seems too tall IMO and more likely to have injury issues. Or he could be lefty Aaron Judge

Jonah Cox from Oral Roberts (yes Cox from Oral) has a 47 game hit streak leading into the CWS. He has hits in 62 of their 63 games. .420/.480/.690

Coulda sworn Cox went to Brown…maybe he will after Oral.

Hope he gets drafted. Africa is such an underrepresetned area where baseball could absolutely thrive

Way better talent pool in Australia/New Zealand and Europe. If Australians cared about baseball they would completely take over the sport. Next level athletes. Africa has fast athletes but soy string bean genetics.

String beans with long lean muscles translate very well to baseball skills. It’s one sport where full bulky muscle structures, in the upper half at least, don’t necessarily give an advantage and especially for pitchers can be a detriment.

In the Caribbean, I think before there were baseball factories, they used modified milk cartons for gloves. They’d have to do something similar

At the bottom of the article there are links to a series of similar writeups on prospects who may be options at #20.

Will be sad when his arm detaches from his body and ends up in the 5th row during a pitch one day.

I cant recall a draft where I've been less excited to see what happens. Usually its a pretty pumped up time of year but ... this year just seems so dull for some reason.

Really? There is a ton of great talent. Better than last season imo

It’s probably just the fact they only have 2 picks in the top 89, whereas Seattle has 5 in the top 92, and 3 in the top 30.

I’m not overly excited to see the Jays crappy bonus pool they can’t do very much with
