No hard feelings or grudges against Max Silver and Brownie. They seem like nice guys. I might disagree with them on some things baseball related but that's part of being on a message board. Max Silver is an ultimate cherry picker and Brownie is an ultimate homer. Saying it as it is.

My thoughts on the Blue Jays have been sour over the last couple of weeks and for obvious reason. This team has been frustrating to watch given the talent and expectations set on this team at the beginning of the year. As a fan, yeah I'm upset this team hasn't been better. We all were sold this team was a World Series contender and they haven't played like one yet. I am critical of some of the decisions made by the FO over the years and as well as certain players. At the same time I've praised many decisions made by the FO and have praised many players as well. My criticisms have been rational and I'm not a poster who trolls in the GDT's complaining nonstop 24/7. Though I'm treated that way for some reason.

Regardless, if the Jays are winning and playing better, there are probably less fights and disagreements on here. At the end of the day, we all want the Jays to succeed and win a World Series, so we're all on the same team. I'm sick of posters trying to show up other posters by trying to prove they were right/wrong (e.g. with the Moreno/Varsho trade etc).

Glad the Jays took 2 of 3 against the Marlins and hope they can get on a nice roll before the All-Star break! Go Jays Go!

Go back to sipping your semen shake and enjoy the game

Wow! Ya 3-foot f***ing minion, look what ya started, ****... lolololol

I mean, who says that?

You are right, but he's always been a command guy and one of the smartest pitchers in the game. I'm confident that he will find his spots and be an adequate starter if the velo is there.

I believe so.

seems baseball relevant to me

we literally just saw stupid social media smoke turn into a contributing factor of an MLB RP losing his job in a matter of weeks

if the Reddit losers are digging this up now then it's at least plausible that Hudgens' time with the Blue Jays will soon be over

The OP just didn’t quote the Reddit feed, he has 80% of his own BS opinion/commentary in his post.

That’s why half the board got banned last time. There is continuous allowance of one opinion to be spouted and then posters start challenging and countering s*** and then the no politics posts and time outs come. The dude made a political post, he wasn’t just reporting a “news” story.

Looking at your statcast numbers, it might be time for robot mods.

Ya but Hudgens might be disciplined by the team lmao

So it’s “baseball” news

Am I the only Jays fan who couldn't care less about the Bass thing? Bad pitcher, bad pitcher, good riddance. I actually forgot about him entirely until I came back to this forum after a few weeks away (and a break from the Jays in general).

Not a single post about Hudgens was reported, and this forum is actively moderated by like two people.

Also, people on both sides were banned last time. And things only got out of hand in the first place because, again, people chose to argue instead of just reporting the post.

There was worse on the roster though

It really gets down to people that are offended by his beliefs and he’s not good enough to make up for it. The people that could care less about what he said, think there was worse on the roster

Come on man, cherry picking is so passe. I like to think of it as selective sampling.

Cherry picker works just fine

I like to choose samples to show trends in production, or relative performance vs various teams in order to show a little different perspective outside of the total sample. I could just go with the norm and rage on about how a player sucks because his overall season numbers are bad, but I prefer to look for signs which indicate better results are likely on the way.

Jose Bautista ruined baseball analysis. Everyone is callable of becoming a totally different hitter at 29yo

You should take a few moments to back and look at your recent posts. One of the biggest things I've taken issue with your recent posts is how you are constantly goading other posters about how they were wrong about some of their posted opinions. I've seen plenty of posts calling out those who thought the Rangers would come crashing down to earth, how the Orioles weren't to be taken seriously yet as a real threat etc. If you really take issue with other posters trying to show up the rest of the board then you look like a giant hypocrite if you are doing exactly the same type of thing that you claim to take issue with.

Post #5880, Post 5881, Post # 5998, Post #5901. Post # 5902 Post # 5888: All calling out politics on the board in the post or asking for Mod support due to politics.

Post #5885 another post from the OP after his inital Reddit "story" , is just a pure political post.

The posters from the top line posts finally get a Mods attention(Laika), and he responds in post #5905 and says. " Seems baseball relevant to me".

Hence my post.... The OP had started giving his own political takes and then follow up posts with just political takes and NOT just reporting "some BS thread on Reddit..

I'm not arguing that anyone reported anything via the report feature. I also know you guys have a tough job. I am also not even bummed by the big ban day... Just calling out one Mod and his decision to allow the kindeling again that led to the the giant forest fire previously.

Amazing how much whining and nagging is going on here. Did everyone's wives take over their accounts and start posting?

Edwin is another relevant Jays example as he also experienced a breakout in his age 29 season.

Yeah and to add, during the whole Bass fiasco it didn't seem like the bans were any sort of punishment.

It was more a situation of two or three mods who volunteer their time simply trying to get a hold of a situation that had exploded out of control. Maybe someone got banned when they should have while someone else slipped through the cracks but who cares? (says the guy who didn't get banned!)

The point is that the entire board was having a meltdown over a middle reliever and something needed to be done.

Should we just start enforcing rule #8?

8. No public posting that is overtly critical of moderators, a moderator, or any moderation decision

Perhaps the issue is that we let people get away with this 99% of the time.

And 90% of the time it's the conservative human centipede s***ing deeply ironic whataboutisms all over the board
