He did get in some hot water earlier in the year when he was talking about women of a certain age "not being in their prime". Like he would know...

It was the above and a number of other clashes with female hosts, including further past history of misogyny. Plus the ratings sucked on his old and new show...

He’s an idiot. Carlson was the most viewed show on TV. It’s like comparing the A’s to the Rays

And Marilu Henner you sexist pig. Only mentioning the male cast? SHAME

I knew you'd notice that!

Tucker will be fine. He'll get a new show eventually or start his own podcast. He has a huge following.

Doubt anyone brings on Dom Lemon for a Prime Time role again. Maybe he finds himself as a host on a morning show on NBC or CBS. Maybe the View haha.

Big Nate time!! Glad it’s Cimber too he’s been useless

Yep, it makes sense.

If he pitches like trash in AAA on his rehab stint, I would consider a DFA. If he's doing well in the stint, and Pearson is shoving, then maybe Bass is gone (he's a FA after this year anyway).

The only relievers we have that aren’t controlable beyond this year is Bass. DFAing anyone else would be dumb. Even Garcia has a club option

Is Bass really on the bereavement list? I thought it was a joke that he was on the bereavement list because Tucker Carlson got fired.

Don Lemon got fired, isn't that weird that it happened on the same day? Wasn't even aware Lemon did anything bad.

I mean, like our overlords made a deal or something, they'd fire Carlson but wanted Lemon gone to as compensation.

Not weird. Lemon followed the Tucker firing. It was perfect timing by CNN. Let Fox have the negative headlines.

Cimber has a Rhomboid Strain and needs rest, Pearson is an obvious upgrade. Lets Go!!!

I don't have huge expectations but I am excited to give a healthy Big Nate some leash.

When we took off in 2015 guys like even Sanchez bolstered our pen significantly. And the big RHP who hurt his leg in the pen/bench clearing. Cant remember name.

When we lost Cecil in '15 that hurt us big time.

Seems like a very strange move by Fox. Like him or not he gave strong representation from the right side. Which is important to have. One of the biggest issues in Canadian media is how Liberal dominated it is.

His show was largely reponsible for Fox needing to give Dominion voting about 800 million dollars to settle that defamation lawsuit after the election.

The Jays bullpen in 2015 was really solid. They still had two/three non-closing elite relievers. Sanchez became one of them, Cecil and Liam Hendriks (but he wasn't used in high leverage situations that much). Guys like LaTroy Hawkins, Aaron Loup, Bo Schultz, Ryan Tepera, Mark Lowe were all solid middle relievers.

The 2023 Jays bullpen is definitely missing a Sanchez, Cecil and Hendriks. Lets hope Pearson can fill the role of Sanchez, Green can come back midseason, and maybe Pop can start being used in higher leverage situations.

I keep forgetting Green. Man if comes back and he is actually Green, that’s a massive upgrade.

CNN was never going to take any heat for firing a race baiting misogynist lol

Wtf are u idiots talking about? Politics? Come on man it’s Nate Pearson time

I agree. I never noticed a Lemon or Carlson on the Jays roster or on the Bisons.

Start an Off topic thread to discuss Carlson and Lemon - couldn't stand either of them.

Imagine a bullpen like this:

Romano

Green

Pearson

Kikuchi

Swanson

Garcia

Mayza

Pop/Richards

With Tiedemann in the rotation.

One can hope

Green comes back and is so lights out he steals the closer role from Romano. :P
