No doubt. It's just introducing another wrinkle into the stable of arms. I really dont think a 6 man rotation is ideal... and if the rotation has sorted itself out AND is fully healthy, Ryu just doesn't fit anywhere. He'd basically be a 20 million dollar long man out of the pen.

Maybe a piggy-back of Ryu & Tiedes to keep Tiedes innings down? The issue is it removes 2 arms from the pen to have both on the team as a 6-man rotation. Could this work?

SP

1. Gausman

2. Manoah

3. Bassit

4. Kikuchi

5. Berrios

6. Ryu & Tiedemann

RP

1. Romano

2. Green

3. Pearson

4. Swanson

5. Garcia

6. Pop/Mayza/Richards

That's 13 pitchers.

Maybe you try and trade Berrios if he's killing it heading into the deadline? It's tough, because if he is doing well, you want to keep him, same with Kikuchi lol. It's a nice problem to have though.

I feel like its more likely we see Ryu as a lefty relief option and spot starter. Maybe he gets a couple ticks on the fastball out of the pen and becomes effective, who knows.

Are you fat shaming Ryu!?

When it comes to the bullpen, I also wonder if Juenger becomes a factor this season at all.

It's early, but so far he's killing it in AAA at 22 yo

14.66 K/9

2.31 BB/9

2.34 FIP

0.77 HR/9

Been a bit unlucky too with a BABIP of 0.429

Yeah, that's great to see. Hopefully Zulueta picks it up as well. It would be nice to have some good options ready to replace any of the guys struggling.

Have to think he will get a long look this year.

This could be a phantom IL thing

But a shoulder strain would explain his problems so far this year

Hmmm, Bass on the bereavement and Cimber to the 15 day IL?

Doesn't that leaves a man down in the pen? Another recall coming maybe?

Jay Jackson perhaps?

The bereavement list was probably a joke. He hasnt been transferred there yet according to any official MLB transactions

Is Bass really on the bereavement list? I thought it was a joke that he was on the bereavement list because Tucker Carlson got fired.

Don Lemon got fired, isn't that weird that it happened on the same day? Wasn't even aware Lemon did anything bad.

I mean, like our overlords made a deal or something, they'd fire Carlson but wanted Lemon gone to as compensation.

Bass is still active?

I wonder how they got Cimber to agree to the phantom IL stint.

Ah. Wonder if its an actual injury or a phantom one. Either way probably improves the bullpen significantly. Cimber was borderline useless his last few outings

He may actually be hurt... his velo is down 2 mph on average across the board from his previous 2 seasons.

I think his viewership was really low. Like 44th rated program or something - just 400K viewers. Carlson had like 3.1M viewers I think. They'll just be replaced with new puppets to tell lies that suit their station's political agenda.

He did get in some hot water earlier in the year when he was talking about women of a certain age "not being in their prime". Like he would know...

Springer with the day off...

Probably a good idea to give him a breather. He seems like he could use it.
