And if he sucks the next 3 years after this, wonder if you will change your mind.

What’s up with everyone’s boy Danny Jansen.

Picked him up last round of the board redraft and benching his worthless ass until further notice

Once he hits his first homer you stick him back in the lineup. He hits them in bunches

Team has a lot of positives. bats look lethal.

Berrios, the 2B merry go round, some of the pen and Belt is in a coma - all a bit of a concern but so far good start on the road.

He wasn't a FA - we traded for him for Rolen and then AA extended?

He was traded for, DFA’d in the offseason and then claimed on waivers by the A’s, who non-tendered him before he signed back with us, technically as a free agent.

Lineup is plenty good even if Belt does absolutely nothing

From Wikipedia:

On November 12, 2010, Encarnacion was claimed off waivers by the Oakland Athletics. On December 2, he was non-tendered by the Athletics, making him a free agent.[12] On December 16, 2010, he signed a one-year deal with the Blue Jays worth $2.5 million, with a club option worth $3.5 million in 2012.

So technically he was a FA signing haha :P

Vladdy through 6 games

.407/.500/.667

wRC+ 225

OPS 1.167

An ongoing good early start from him would be huge

Only 1 strikeout in 34 plate appearances is pretty insane. I think he's poised to have a monster season even better than 2021.

The launch angle looked great throughout spring training

I recall a Chris Black twitter thread where he showed that the key for Vlad's launch angle was to avoid offering at pitches below the strike zone. Vlad has done a great job at taking pitches off of the plate so far so the launch angle should be fine if he continues to display this type of discipline. Vlad is only swinging at 21.9% of pitches off the plate, vs 30.5% in 2022. His career average is 28.4% and his best season plate discipline wise was 2021 where he swung at 24.5% of pitches out of the strike zone.

2021 would be just fine. Greedy bastard. Wish for more production from others like Biggio

You mean the guy who hit a home run yesterday

Biggio is rocking a 154 WRC+ at the moment, you'll need to pick a new whipping boy for the time being.

Yup, when he doesn't chase, he's a serious threat. MVP incoming.

Because we don’t really care about Riley Greene and we don’t care for hearing you brag about your fantasy team in non-fantasy threads
