Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 We should trade Biggio to the Red Sox for Tanner Hauck or some sorts of odds and ends revolving around that. They are in desperate need of MI help and Biggo could play 2b for them and back up other positions. Good proposal right here folks
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Red Sox seems to be completely mishandling Houck and Whitlock. Jerking both of them around between the bullpen and rotation, in different directions.

I can't see them giving up Houck for Biggio. They'll just go sign Josh Harrison and Iglesias and battle for 4th place.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Durability / stamina was the question with Houck as I recall. Ability to maintain velo into the game.

They have no choice They're despately short of quality starters and ill advisedly spent some $$$ on the bullpen already instead
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Everyone wants to trade Biggio. Has anyone ever asked Cavan what he wants? : (

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 I would love to trade Biggio for anything of value. If Barger is relevant Biggio becomes useless on the roster.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 I've been telling you guys for years that Biggio sucks and it looks like you all are finally starting to agree with me. Deadpool is mad at me and since I respect him I'll refrain from posting the Gronk football spike this time but I am reserving the right to change my mind in the future.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Author Posted January 11, 2023 Are we a lock to sign this guy? Unless he gets hit by a bus or gets caught hitting the crack pipe.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Unless he gets hit by a bus or gets caught hitting the crack pipe. What option would be worse. Instant death or addiction to crack ruining your Baseball career? I think I would rather take the bus.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 (edited) If I'm not mistaken, there's all kinds of guys already in Dunedin. I mean, why wouldn't they be, top of the line facility and take your fam when you can, all's good right now. Edited January 11, 2023 by Spanky99

It’s meant to be accessible always. Wouldn’t be surprised if players make frequent stops to the facility well ahead of time.

Unless something goes terribly wrong, everyone knows where they're going and for how much. In fact, next year's class has a pretty good idea as well... Or at least a good chunk of them.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 I'm sure the local Dunedin bars can't wait for Pete Walker to be back in town. Apparently his bar tabs are legendary and he's also a good tipper from what I hear.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 On the Danforth, I push meth and crack heads aside, even when friends. Haven't seen you in years and WAT??? Step aside, especially after I spent time to help you.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Explains a lot to be honest. Well to clarify it did have some consequences. It lead to several failed marriages and I did a few short term stints in the clink. I was also disbarred as an attorney. I suppose my relationships with my children could have been better. And I guess I have had some ill health effects like a couple of heart attacks. But other than that it wasn't that bad really. Much better than being hit and killed by a bus.
