Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 1-0 game in Coors Field today for just the 11th time since their inception. Nats and Rockies lineups are so bad that not even Coors Field can propel them to some offense.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 AA can do no wrong. Swanson leaves, Arcia comes in and picks up right after him.

Laika Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 GameDay app actually has one improvement this year You can watch a highlight package of concluded games that is put together like a Facebook story. It's pretty good and a better highlight viewing experience on mobile for sure.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 AA can do no wrong. Swanson leaves, Arcia comes in and picks up right after him. AA was on the broadcast on opening day and said about Arcia: “We see a lot of upside with the bat”. I rolled my eyes, but watch Arcia have a 3+ WAR season now that he’s signed that paltry extension.

I think AA truly learned a lot under the Dodgers and Friedman for the 2 years he worked there. Got to see how an elite organization is run. Probably realized how importance of good player development . He was good at drafting, but our player development system was absolutely arcane under his regime.

BTS Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Edward Cabrera had electric stuff today vs. the Mets. But walked 7 of the 15 guys he faced.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Edward Cabrera had electric stuff today vs. the Mets. But walked 7 of the 15 guys he faced. Same as his first start, fugly lines in the end. 13 BB's and 6 K's in 7 innings... Yikes!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Watched Yanks O's game, and a big win for BAL. Bautista is just so nasty. Sits 99-101 and then drops that splitter in. He doesn't always know where its going. Doesn't have to. From A ball to this.

Swung for fences and missed in '13. '15 and '16 rejuvenated the franchise with the fan base. signed Vlad. Deal for JD was special. His Jose and Edwin extensions under market were precursors and training to longer ones he is doing in ATL. Just learning along the way.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Rays are going to 7-0. Crushing the hapless A’s.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 TB has a super easy schedule but my god, they are unrelenting.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Rays are going to 7-0. Crushing the hapless A’s. f***ers
MikeM3 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 One guy I always wish we acquired was Sonny Gray. Perennially undervalued.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Check out the Mets new scoreboard hahaha
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Rays are going to 7-0. Crushing the hapless A’s. Was watching the game. They also lead the league in HR's with 17 or 18 I believe lol.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Was watching the game. They also lead the league in HR's with 17 or 18 I believe lol. Going into that game it was 17-3 for and against Crazy!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Going into that game it was 17-3 for and against Crazy! Yup and even their run differential. I know it's the first week of the season but damn.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Yup and even their run differential. I know it's the first week of the season but damn. Easy schedule, but they've been tearing s*** up and it's the Big League's, impressive.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Easy schedule, but they've been tearing s*** up and it's the Big League's, impressive. Yup, that's what Postseason caliber teams need to do. Beat up on the weaker teams to grow leads in the standings. Definitely going to help them if they hit a rough stretch or lose a couple of series to divisional rivals.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 No, not this year Also, now MLB TV there is no yearly subscription like before? Payments are monthly now instead? Works out to $37 CAD per month taxes in.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Also, now MLB TV there is no yearly subscription like before? Payments are monthly now instead? Works out to $37 CAD per month taxes in. I paid for the entire year
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 I paid for the entire year Maybe because I signed up for the free 7-day trial over the Google Play store.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Maybe because I signed up for the free 7-day trial over the Google Play store. I signed up for free 7 day trial and then paid for the year. You chose monthly or yearly when you were signing up for the trial (unless Google Play didnt allow yearly)
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2023 Author Posted April 8, 2023 Brady Ware of the DII University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, had the kind of day that only feels achievable if you’re playing as Shohei Ohtani in MLB The Show, by hitting for the cycle while throwing a no hitter. The graduate student finished with the cycle, going 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs and five RBIs … while striking out 11 batters across seven hitless innings against Drury University in Game 2 of a doubleheader.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Mets have talent and spend all the money But the Braves are a better constructed team
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The Yankees announced five roster moves prior to today’s game with the Orioles. As expected, Josh Donaldson was placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to April 6) due to a right hamstring strain and right-hander Jhony Brito was called up from Triple-A to make his scheduled start against Baltimore. New York also placed righty Jonathan Loaisiga on the 15-day IL with a retroactive April 6 date, as Loaisiga is suffering from right elbow inflammation. In corresponding moves, the Yankees selected Willie Calhoun‘s contract from Triple-A and officially signed him to a big league deal, while Tommy Kahnle was moved to the 60-day IL to create space for Calhoun on the 40-man roster.
