DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Utterly dominated. Zero pulse on offense . Welp
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Springer 2-3, so at least one dude came to play.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 They got one more chance tomorrow against Mariners anti-vaxx pitcher. Hopefully they get him early.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Well, Seattle has the arms to dominate. Always was a concern. I think we get to Ray tomorrow. Don't go jumping off bridges. Let's get after it tomorrow.
BCZ Verified Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I don't like looking at Caleb Joseph's giant forehead...
Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Position, body, and weight cut that by at least 80% You are right. Vlad provides no positional value. Reduce Vlad's contract to 5 yrs 60M and add happy meal bonus for finishing up top 10 in MVP voting
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 So what about Gausman's finger/cut... I don't see anything about it?

Problem is they can only sign Bo or Kirk longterm at DH. 1 has to walk
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 7, 2022 Author Posted October 7, 2022 So what about Gausman's finger/cut... I don't see anything about it? Said he was good to go last I checked and if it was the playoffs would have stayed in last game
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Team needs a few good lefty bats. Seems like forever since we had a few.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 the wild card era for the jays thus far is constantly getting shutdown they better break out tomorrow
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I know Tapia's only in the lineup because Gurriel is hurt (although the Jays may have manipulated the DH spot to fit him in for all I know) but there is no reason for Tapia to bat anywhere except 9th in the order. Hopefully Espinal is healthy and can play 2B tomorrow with Merrifield in LF against Ray.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 They got one more chance tomorrow against Mariners anti-vaxx pitcher. Hopefully they get him early. Robbie Ray is still alive and he's pitching in Game 2 against the Jays! Oh my!
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Won't matter who plays where or where they are on the lineup; the core has to deliver, they have to get those clutch hits. Bo/Vlad/Teo have to step up tomorrow; if they don't, we are f***ed.
Fastball21 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 The Vlady/Bo led offense has scored a grand total of 3 runs through 3 playoff games…and 2 of those runs were Jansen solo HRs. Expect more of the same tomorrow. These guys simply choke when it matters. Remind you of another Toronto team? LOL

bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Ray stinks we'll win tomorrow stop being doomer cucks
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 SUCKED. Ain't over. I remember the same feeling after we lost the first 2 in a 5 game series vs TEX in '15. Look what happened. Castillo was terrific. Flush it. Tomorrows a new game.
Steeljays Verified Member Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 IMHO. Trade high on Kirk in off season. I think he is a singles hitter with no speed and i dont like him in the cleanup spot. Need to play Moreno next season.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Minor detail but letting Tapia hit in his last PA was absurd You need multiple base runners and you let the guy with a sub .300 OBP swing away while Biggio is on the bench?

Need to play Moreno next season. I don’t necessarily agreee he’s a singles hitter, but I agree they should sell high. The team needs pitching and we have 3 catchers. Already a few guys that are good options at DH (Gurriel/Teo/Vlad/Springer). I don’t think Kirk’s value will ever be higher and im not sure he continues putting up the numbers he did earlier this year.

You want to bring in Biggio against the guy throwing 103??

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 You want to bring in Biggio against the guy throwing 103?? Think Moreno was the choice - dude is better at contact than anyone on bench atm.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Think Moreno was the choice - dude is better at contact than anyone on bench atm. Isn’t Tapia supposed to be that contact guy? And he’s a lefty. Idk im not really upset at leaving Tapia in there.

Tapia is the contact guy but he never walks, so he'll swing at everything until he Ks. Moreno can walk and better contact than Biggio

Unless Espy isn't ready for a whole game, which he should be to be on the roster, load up on RHH and throw Whitt in LF. Don't lose anything on D in the OF and improve the IF D.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 ur a f***ing moron but so is Atkins so it wouldn't shock me I don’t see why everyone is against trading guys at their peak value. The Rays have been doing it for years and it works pretty well.
