I don’t see why everyone is against trading guys at their peak value. The Rays have been doing it for years and it works pretty well.

Most casual Jays fans prefer trading players or prospects when their value is at the lowest!

Kind of an odd decision to let Manoah start game 1 over Gausman. I would've preferred for the guy with experience to start game 1 so Alek could have had a chance to take in the atmosphere and experience the energy so he could better prepare for what it would be like.

At the end of the day, this offense is just too 1 dimensional. No good lefties at all. That leaves a team very exposed against high-end starters like Castillo.

But I like the next 2 matchups a lot better. Maybe we can win the next 2.

Robbie Ray is still alive and he's pitching in Game 2 against the Jays! Oh my!

lmao and I heard Jays fans on Twitter saying he was going to end up in the hospital on a ventilator. It's incredible how brainwashed by media people are.

Really stupid idea having young inexperienced manoah starting 1 st game of a three game series. First game of huge importance should be left to the veterans to secure a win. Now the jays are screwed

Exactly. They have a guy as experienced as Gausman and they go with Manoah game 1? Makes no sense.

This kind of hindsight revisionist ******** is tiresome. Manoah had a sub 1 ERA over the month of September. f***ing grooving. He had his worst start in months, doesn’t mean it was the wrong move for him to start game 1.

that's the besides the fact that he's a high octane guy that has never pitched in the postseason. It was easy to speculate that he might be too amped up and out of form (which he clearly was).

performance was the most dominant the Jays have faced this year. He's hitting location at 100 mph and with his off speed stuff consistently. I never watched him pitch before, but he appeared like the best pitcher in the league, better than Cole was with the sticky stuff. Glad he's used up for the rest of series, I like our chances in games 2 and 3 tho with more hittable Ray and whoever there 3 is, plus the offense is better.

ur a f***ing moron but so is Atkins so it wouldn't shock me

I would curse you out too but you're probably 12 years old......lets put it this way, you have 3 catchers but can only keep 2. Who stays?

well thats probably good night on this season. Maybe we come back this game, maybe we come back and win two straight. Doubt it though.

Sharp as a razor, this guy, lol.

So many doomsayers here. Not a great start but people are making it sound like the series is over already LOL

Silly, really. we've driven baseballs, lol

I forgot some of the worst fans start posting on this Message Board out of nowhere to spew nothing but nonsense. They watched 6 games all year and now know all.

Winner, winner, Chicken dinner!

There’s just absolutely no reason to be negative. If you’re that upset by Manoah’s bad first inning you should reconsider your decision to both watch and more importantly post on a public message board where you’re just ruining other peoples experience with your bad vibes. If you don’t want to provide constructive conversation or just good energy. Kindly f*** off, nobody wants to read it or chill with you.

Jonn, FTW!!!

It would be dishonest to say that this isn't one of the most embarrassing efforts in Blue Jays franchise history in all 3 aspects of the game. Horrendous pitching, embarrassing offense, and bad defense from Chapman of all people. I'm embarrassed to be present at the game.

Hyperbole at the time, and well f***ing over the top. I'm embarrassed you posted that whilst at the game.

Could argue the Jays bats have looked better than the Mariners at this point… just not stringing hits together

1 big mistake... sad our bats didn't show up, but you have to tip your hat to Castillo, he dominated. Jays' bats s*** the bed. We need better tomorrow, it was lacklustre regardless. Tis is baseball.
