Who do u think we getting boys?

Probably Quintana and Trivino. Guys that are cheap that we’ve been linked to.

Outside chance at someone like Rodon if the price is right.

Hoping for better bullpen arms but that’s what im expecting at this point.

I would never do a trade with the Rays man. Instead I would sign anyone they want long term lol.

The dodgers are one of the teams with nothing to worry about in that department.

We can’t go into a playoff series with the likes of Collins and Zimmer on the bench can we?

Zimmer is perfect for the playoffs.

Collins useless but playoff teams roster Zimmer types all the time

Hard to say, Atkins is pretty good at keeping his possible moves out of the public until they happen.

Must have forgotten about the whole Jay Bruce shitshow.. That we never once saw with AA. AA is still the Ninja IMO....

As much I wish the jays can get a lh hitter, they need to improve the starting rotation or bullpen. If no they will not get far in the playoffs.

I wouldn't mind seeing a better base stealer and defensive replacement on the bench. Zimmer is acceptable, but I feel like it's a low-cost upgrade position. Someone like Billy Hamilton maybe, or we could try to fill it internally with Samad Taylor or Steward Berroa (both of whom will be rule 5 eligible). Taylor is probably roughly MLB ready anyway, and I double we'd care about burning an option on Berroa.

Really, I'd just like to see a good reliever or two, maybe along the lines of the Cimber trade last year. I don't think we need anything dramatic. If something else falls into our lap, great.

The Jays, while right hand heavy as hitters, actually hit righties better than lefties, so getting an LH hitter isn't really necessary IMO. They'd need to have the speed and D of Zimmer and a better bat than Zimmer for me to really see a fit for an offensive upgrade. (I still think Lukes should be the guy, but apparently the FO doesn't agree with me...)

Groshans, Lopez, and Robberse for a year and a half of Montas or walk. They don’t get Moreno, Martinez, or Ricky T. Let another team overpay.

Interesting. I think the Jays still have a big need for a impact LHH. No disrespect to Biggio, and Tapia's heater. I think the numbers against LHP are a bit misleading. Clubs throw them at an historically low number against the Jays because they are so right handed dominant. We have struggled often a lot with even nameless RHP, who can come in and throw us endless pitches spun away. I know overall our offense has been top 5 but too often we get shut down because its such a repeatable look for the arms we face.

I look at the Brave's last year milking the most out of Pederson and Rosario after the all star break and in the playoffs. They gave them a lot of effective balance. They got hot and Braves got lucky with them and Soler, but it sure made them tough to match up and pitch against down the stretch and on their run.

The pen is the priority but this is still a big weakness IMO if we want to go on a deep run.

I think it has become apparent that the Jays are looking for a starter. I would bet that they are in on at least one of Rodon or Montas. The only problem I see here is that the Yankess wanted Castillo and are now going to go hard on Montas driving the already inflated market up (thanks M's). I think Atkins wants to close on a starter before consumating a deal for bullpen help which is why we have yet to hear about a move. If NYY get Montas (they seem willing to overpay) , and Rodon is not available Atkins will move quickly on solidifying the pen with the deals he already has in place ready to go with a LH bat as a chaser. Pick your poison at this point.

I’m hoping and I’d say 20% chance we get him but if we do this is a big one with 2-3 players from Nationals and 5-6 from Jays.

The only reason and I mean ONLY reason I have any hope is that Atkins an Co. Felt they let one go in not getting Gerrit Cole!

So this might be the big “Marketing” splash they need to sell Rogers cable and mobile phone subscriptions lol.

If true, I will forgive them for the cell phone outage lol.

Effross/Robertson/Happ would've been a damn perfect trade from Cubs for us - literally fills every gap.

I guess we'll have to settle for Robertson & Happ :)

An impact left handed bat would be nice to have for sure, but who should come out of the lineup to facilitate this type of addition? There haven't been a lot of available names listed that fit this team. Happ would be a nice get but Gurriel and Teoscar have both been mashing for several months. Josh Bell has had a great season but Kirk has been the team's most productive hitter as a whole and Vlad is the most talented hitter on the team so I can't see taking either of these guys out of the lineup.

For Montas and Trivino, Yankees parted with Sears, Waldichuk, Bowman and Medina.
