The loss isn't on Romano. If the Ump calls pitches correctly, we have 5R heading into the 9th and we win the game.

Its still on Romano. 2 run lead with 1 out to go. Walked the tying run

Need a closer

We need more than that yup. Think about the Braves pen in the playoffs last year. Shutdown filth. In todays game its essential in the playoffs.

What's it going to take to pry Bednar out of Pitt? Don't say Groshans, cause the Pirates will laugh at that.

Harrison is a pest.

Only against dog water pitching though

edit: I have no idea if that's true but it probably is and I'm too lazy to look it up

Trade for f***ing Bednar

I love Romano but that guy doesn't know what a f***ing clean inning is. He's always riding the line way to close.

Sign f***ing Rosenthal

Call up f***ing Hernandez

lol

f*** I'm sick of our bullpen always being a raging tire fire.

Shatkins need to do something soon or there won’t be any playoffs again...they still haven’t learned from their mistakes

They don't make any progress in the IQ department ever.. like Teo is back to pre 2020 level swinging at sliders 5 feet off the plate

Ump atrocious. Shitpen strikes again, it’s like they have a competition to out-bum each other.

Romano couldn’t even throw strikes with the blind ump and his 30 inch wide strike zone

Kinda feeling they might go harder after Rosenthal after witnessing these past couple weeks

Romano has two bad habits

1. He tries to "outsmart" the hitter he is anxious of by trying to bait swings (which they never do, and end up walking them)

2. When he has no fastball command, he defaults to using sliders and leaving them in the strikezone.

Maybe he fixes them, iunno.

Bo/Teo ABs have looked so aggravating.

Springer hurt (even though he was also looking terrible at the plate) means we see more of Zimmer.

Espinal/Chapman are cold again (espinal did get bit by the umpires a lot).

Berrios/Kikuchi have become undependable.

Gausman maybe has found it again today, who knows.

Iunno, feels like we just can't keep it together to cruise through games.

Honestly seems like everyone on this team has been fighting themselves at one point or the other this season. (Maybe not Kirk so much?) They seem like a young team that is easily frustrated on both pitching and hitting.

Zimmer saved us the game ; I think in the 10th , then looked bad next at bat , but was pinch hit next time up ; he never gets a chance to prove himself , maybe let him bat again , can’t be any worse than the the pissants we have batting with men in scoring position .

I’m coming around to this. I’ve always thought that spending too much resources on the pen, is like 101 on how to close your window early.

However, this front office has absolutely f***ing proven that they cannot do what the Yankees and rays do.

So f*** it. Let’s do a cubs, trade whoever we need to to shore this up. In two years, we can fire these guys and hire some guys from the rays and maybe do it right. Maybe we can win a championship in the mean time.

You trust Shatkins to "shore up the bullpen".

We know they have no clue how to build a bullpen. Are there bullpen specialist player personnel/executive types out there? Shatkins can just give them a budget for the pen and they go make all the moves.
