Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 I'll keep that in mind next time you scream about Bo commiting an error I only do that cause it annoys most of the people who do it with Vlad

vaff Verified Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Looks like a perfect structure to me, f*** the AL Central. They’re also going to be implementing a more balanced schedule soon, aren’t they? So we won’t have one good central team getting one of the top two spots simply because they got to beat up on four crappy teams.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Jeeze, that's kinda radical... Winning a division is usually the gold standard but now if you simply have a lesser record than the other 2 division winners you have to play an extra series? I'm not sure if I like that... Seems kinda screwball It’s good for us. It’s hard to win the AL east. Now there’s the consolation prize of a home wild card series instead of just one game.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Looks like a perfect structure to me, f*** the AL Central. Will be even better with a balanced schedule next season.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 If Kirk continues with this type of hitting, I don't see why we would trade him. Moreno is a top catching prospect but I think we would be happy if he hit as well as Kirk. But we already have Kirk, so Moreno could potentially be the trade bait.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Okay, so here's I suppose a better question: is the current Vladdy the Vladdy we should expect the rest of the season and majority of his career? He might be raking but this has been a shadow of what he was last year, especially in clutch situations. You guys might think otherwise but Vlad is the LAST person (outside of Tapia/Zimmer) you'd want with RISP at the plate in this lineup. More importantly, if this is the year we are going for WS contention, then this Vlad is not the cornerstone superstar that'll get us there. Last year was likely a career year, you'd have to be obtuse to think he can consistently do that throughout his career. And yes he can go on and destroy the league the rest of the way, he's that good. And this post just might be one of the worst I've read on here, in quite awhile. Check yourself man.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Wouldn't have made more sense to just get Romano in tomorrow's afternoon game with the off day Thursday? What if there's an actual save situation tomorrow? I guess he goes back to back? This is how those over usage situations start.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Riiiiight Its the truth. Been that way for years
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Just pointing out how dumb their logic and crying are. Vlad hasn't been nearly as good as last season, but it happens. Teams adjust. He is 23 and needed to adjust, but was off timing wise. He has adjusted and is getting his timing back. Crying every single AB when he has hit 4 HRs in 6 days is beyond stupid and annoying (which is why they are doing it) Why do you always go after Bo, when you get upset? Serious question.

Moreno is a lot more athletic than Kirk. Also, there are concerns about Kirk’s long term durability, for obvious reasons.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 I only do that cause it annoys most of the people who do it with Vlad Well, that's f***ing dumn... and basically worst cause you're doing it on purpose.

Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Moreno is a lot more athletic than Kirk. Also, there are concerns about Kirk’s long term durability, for obvious reasons. Kirk is under control until he’s 28. As long as you don’t extend him, I think it will be fine.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Well, that's f***ing dumn... and basically worst cause you're doing it on purpose. I wouldn't argue with that. But gets me through having to read the serious dumb stuff that gets posted
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Great W Birds... bats are alive, and Alek battled through like a Champ!
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Will the Yankees ever lose again? f*** those guys man lol
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Moreno is a lot more athletic than Kirk. Also, there are concerns about Kirk’s long term durability, for obvious reasons. Agreed.. Although I'm not trading Kirk either. Ride him through his arb years and trade him in his last year or in the off season prior. He'll be around 27-28 at that point, perfect time to let him go before he starts breaking down physically. Jansen is who you trade.

Jansen is who you trade. Ya if it comes to it, you trade Jansen and split Moreno/Kirk between C and DH. Maybe even give Moreno some reps at 1B on days to get Vladdy days off but that's of course he's as good as advertised. You never want to get ahead of yourself until a player can prove he can play at the major league level.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Speaking of Bo, what a great night.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Overall a great game. Fun times ahead!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 In other news... the Jays are playing .600 ball and climbing. Feels Good Man!
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Talk all the s*** about Vlad and Bo you want, but don’t go f***ing with Cavan lol.
