Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Ryu to Stripling to PHelps to Garcia plus 3 long balls = No drama Win
Krusty Verified Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 If you can't get excited about this team now, you never will haha. Great win boys!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 starts: Jansen, Stripling, Vladi Chicken Strips were on the menu tonight.
mellowgold Verified Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Too lazy to look but I wonder if that's Bo's first three-walk game. If he can even learn to be just a little selective, look out.
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Stripling and Phelps … real heroes tonite… plus Vladdy hits one !! ⚾️🔥👍
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 7 in a row....keep her going boys.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 7 in a row and I still don’t think this team has shown as good as they can be yet

Not all players are meant to be the next Joey Votto. Some (like Bo Bichette) will ultimately be better with the aggressive Roberto Clemente approach. Can he find a happy medium between the two - probably and if so he will be deadly.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 7 in a row and I still don’t think this team has shown as good as they can be yet They haven’t. We would be in first place if the offense didn’t go MiA for nearly 2 months.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 7 in a row and Manoah on the bump tomorrow looking to get the brooms out again.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Ryu going on the DL and Stripling starting wouldn't be the end of the world.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Ryu going on the DL and Stripling starting wouldn't be the end of the world. Basically a wash
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Basically a wash I say Stripling gives you more, throws harder and his change has come a long way.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Author Posted June 2, 2022 Could someone post the 3 stars of the game. I am a bit busy right now.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 1) Stripling - huge long man game 2) Jansen - the big swing 3) Bo - three walks! career high! hm: Espinal for his furthest hit ever
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 lol Bo had just two 2 walk games in his entire career he has six 2 HR games
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Ryu going on the DL and Stripling starting wouldn't be the end of the world. Right. It does weaken the bullpen a bit though. Also a healthy Ryu is probably better than Stripling, but health has been a problem his entire career.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Ryu going on the DL and Stripling starting wouldn't be the end of the world. I don't trust Ryu's hanging balls... just saying.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 After the game last night was the first time I had the "okay, this team is special" feeling. 7 in a row, 9 games over .500 while really not firing close to on all cylinders so far, but some guys are starting to click, and the rest look really close. Really think we'll see this team come alive and start to dominate.

Dokken Verified Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Got a feeling June is going to be a great month. I think Pearson will be back and be a nice fixture in the pen. If Pearson can be to the 2022 Jays what Aaron Sanchez was to the 2015 team, then that will give the deadly 1-2 punch out of the BP that the team needs
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 I'm still hoping the Jays can lure in Rosenthal too whenever (if) he's finally ready. Adding vintage Trevor Rosenthal and 2020 playoff Pearson to the pen would really nail things down.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2022 Author Posted June 2, 2022 Don't worry fellas, I am already working on the GDT.
