Not all players are meant to be the next Joey Votto. Some (like Bo Bichette) will ultimately be better with the aggressive Roberto Clemente approach. Can he find a happy medium between the two - probably and if so he will be deadly.

Right. It does weaken the bullpen a bit though. Also a healthy Ryu is probably better than Stripling, but health has been a problem his entire career.

After the game last night was the first time I had the "okay, this team is special" feeling. 7 in a row, 9 games over .500 while really not firing close to on all cylinders so far, but some guys are starting to click, and the rest look really close.

Adding vintage Trevor Rosenthal and 2020 playoff Pearson to the pen would really nail things down.
