Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Another Series win boys!!! Luv this team!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Man I don’t know how they keep winning games, but I’ll take it. Reminds me of the 2012 Orioles that went 29–9 in one-run games. Or Seattle last year

el duque Verified Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 This team is so good and they are not yet hitting, when Teoscar is back they will be unbeatable
Jays2champs Verified Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Jays still haven’t lost a series this year. Hasn’t always been pretty but they are proving to be tough to beat. This is all with a cold offense! I expect them to heat up soon, watch out!
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Son of a bitch …. In a good way …. Springer /Romano close it out 😀
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Romano owes Springer a steak dinner after that huge catch.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Jamie Campbell just accidentally called him Bo Bishit lol. I’m shocked I haven’t seen that nickname here yet.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Yankees coming in extremely hot; we are sending in Stripling and Kikuchi, my heart won't be able to take this. But god do I love healthy Springer.

Buster Verified Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Saved the game right here.... I get that these guys are world class athletes, pros, unicorns, etc. But Springer broke instantly and ran full speed straight to the precise location that ball was going to land.

But god do I love healthy Springer. At this point Charlie shouldn't pencil in Zimmer on the lineup card again. I so wanted him to succeed but he's been a black hole at the plate.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Springer is clearly hesitant anywhere around walls and I'm perfectly fine with that. Maybe stop playing him in RF though. It certainly paid off today with Springer catching the screaming liner in the shift earlier in the game and the diving catch to save the game in the ninth.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 I have tickets for Wednesday... Kikuchi vs Cortes. IDK if I should still bother lol You have to go. If you don't Kikuchi may surprise and throw a gem and you'll be kicking yourself. Wait, maybe you shouldn't go then:confused:
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Holy f*** they’ve done it again. This s*** is crazy! Instead of bobble heads maybe this year we should just give these out:
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Instead of bobble heads maybe this year we should just give these out: I made a comment to my wife how I should monitor mine during games given how much tension there has been in almost every 9th inning so far.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Instead of bobble heads maybe this year we should just give these out: With the way these games are going that BP should be much higher. 170/100 is more accurate

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Stripling might be legit good again. He's changed his pitch mix and is only throwing his 4-seamer 38% of the time like he did when he was with LAD. No idea why he was throwing his 4-seamer over 50% of the time last year. When he was with LAD he was always a solid GB pitcher. In his time with TO he turned into a flyball pitcher but he seems to be getting back on track this year but he's doing it a little differently than he did in '18 and '19. He's increased his slider usage up to 38% against RHP and it's quite the worm killer right now with a -13 LA. He doesn't even throw it vs lefties and instead he goes heavy with his changeup and mixes in his curveball. His GB is back up over 50% again. Hopefully he can keep this up.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Zimmer looks like a female soft ball player at the plate. His defence is good but that alone can't justify rostering the bat, it's horrendous. Time to give Lukes a shot and punt Zimmer into the sun.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Saved the game right here.... Just caught game on PVR. Didn't know score. Holy heart attack...again. Springer saved it. I mean lots of team efforts for the W but Jesus that was a money catch. I'm pretty impressed with his compete level even if he doesn't make that game saver. Timely for us these W's against tough teams with the Yanks rolling.
