dineke Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 You would think one of these scrubs batters try bring every year would fluke into a colabello season once in awhile.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Espinal-Springer combination on play
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Biggio going to shine some pine lol
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 103.5 and 100.6 EV for Espinal today
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 I still cant believe we put Collins at DH today. This is worse than when we used Panik there last year. Scrubs like him are meant to give our regulars days off, not waste at bats at DH. This guy will have the same at bats as Biggio for the season by the end of this game...
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Author Posted April 12, 2022 Espinal's hits today: - 103.5 MPH - 100.6 MPH I don't think Espinal realizes that even if you can hit the ball that hard, it's not actually supposed to be easy to do it so often. Guy is enjoying his newfound strength.

Guy is enjoying his newfound strength. Espinal was worth 2.2 WAR in only 246 PA's last year with almost no power at all...if he legit can drive the ball even 'a bit' this year, then he could really unlock something special. 4-5 WAR? It's still super unlikely to happen, but still fun to consider.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Biggio going to shine some pine lol It's one thing to sit for Espi who can hit. It's another thing to sit for Collins who we will likely see tomorrow behind the plate. There was no reason for Colllins to DH tonight.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Is Espy going to be worthy of rostering in 12-team fantasy leagues?

Def doesn’t show confidence
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Does Espinal legit have 20HR power?

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Author Posted April 12, 2022 I ranted as soon as I saw that. Like how can someone this dumb get a damn extension from our management? Grinds my gears lol. Because he's doing literally what management is telling him to do. It's the exact same situation as Aaron Boone in New York. The managers are puppets for what the FO wants, which is why the FO has no reason to be upset at them.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 It’s really too bad Pearson hasn’t panned out. Him and Manoah as a 1-2 would be awesome. There is still hope
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Manoah's velocity is dropping. I think his night is done. Possibly but his pitch count is still in good shape he’s far in away the best option to pitch the 6th.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Damn Manoah for another inning..........Charlie is a gambler.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Really hate the cop out from Tabler or any other commentator when they excuse an ump for being s***** by calling him “consistent”. Well yeah, he’s calling balls strikes a lot, so he’s consistently s*****. Consistency is only a good thing when you’re consistently good.
