Knock Jansen’s glasses off or connect somewhat square on what I presume is his glass jaw and you’d knock him out too

At this point, this is irrational hate for the Blue Jays best player, Danny Jansen. What happened between him and your wife?

Captain obvious kind of baited back “Jays best player” .. except if you really think it, is it bait? I guess but not intentional

The Blue Jays I would be most terrified of in a fight:

Cimber - probably a literal boxer with a mean uppercut

Guerrero - nobody has a chance against his power and weight

Kirk - I bet you can't even knock this guy over he's like a quintessential luchador

Romano - He's so mentally ill he might kill you

To the person who responded to terminators jail stint story with a “wtf” meme,

I was actually there that night and it was just. That girl had it coming.

Why open old wounds? If you must know it was Terms second wife not his current. Jays Winterfest luncheon from years back. Jansen was a rookie and was using contact lenses for the first time. Their eyes met from across the room and well, the rest is history. The heart wants what the heart wants. Being the discreet fellow I am, I will say no more without Terminator’s approval. The less said of this sordid affair the better.

4 years on Nimmo and I’d do it. 5 maybe as well. 6 would just be too reckless.

The team that signs Nimmo to a 100M is going to regret it no later than year 2. Maybe sooner. Do not want.

Andrew: If Bellinger is non tendered, where is a good fit for him? and what kind of contact does he end up getting?

Eric A Longenhagen: Toronto, no idea on the contact.

Say he gets a 1 year deal, what’s your guess on salary?

Grab him as our 4th starter and leverage in trades did a CF?

I’m talking myself into it. His D is better than I thought and he puts up enough WAR that if he averages 120-130 games a year he’d be fine.

But like anything it’s the classic case of if the Jays sign him it’s a great move and if they don’t he sucks.

Honestly I would be super down for this. I will take the shot at him recreatie himself here. He can play all OF positions and 1B while Springer and Vlad cycle through DH. Left-handed bat with big power upside. Even in his s*** form he might hit 25-30 Homeruns with half his games at Rogers Centre.

How much money are you good with?

I wonder if he'd do a one year + club option/buyout type deal. A little more upside for the team if he turns it around and a larger guarantee for him if he's fried.

Honestly, I can't see him being worth more than like $5M, but more likely than not he'll get over $10.

Really, if it weren't for the pedigree/name he'd be getting a MiLB deal with a major league invite...

Barger is a middle of diamond athlete with a bat that could knock down the door for a big league spot this season. I wonder if he could adjust to play some CF/OF

That's what others were discussing earlier today, likely 12Mish.

13M base, 16M club option or 2M buyout. 15M guarantee seems steep but he's not so very far removed from being worth more than double that per year.

Y'all are forgetting about speed in fistfights. Vlad and Manoah are too slow footed to be any good.

Now Chapman has quick feet, good size, and tremendous arm strength. He's my pick.

Would anyone object to adding Belly for 1 year $10M and Conforto 1 year $15M? Belly is primary CF, but Springer plays some games in CF as the "backup" when Belly rests?
