RobinThicc Verified Member Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 My son texted me they offered Kirk, Pearson, Smallgio, and Grichuk for Jram Not sure where he read that, but that would be underwhelming Believe that was from Jeff Blair, so probably isnt that reliable tbh. But yeah, wouldve been a f***ing steal. Unfortunately JRam is the one person in existence who would sacrifice 100 mill to stay in Cleveland

Unfortunately he had to fall in love with Cleveland.

We’ll I mean for Cleveland I’m sure they first wanted to see what they could get for him. They may have thought they can do better than his friendly extension via prospects. Then the pivot to the extension. Seems like that may be have been the case idk. But if so, they were smart to ask for a lot more than that offer
Dagagad Verified Member Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 How many jays pitchers make the Yankees pen? Romano just had a bad night tonight. It happens. However, we seem to have so many guys who don’t really strike anyone out. Romano and Cimber are the only ones whose stuff I really like and cimber also doesn’t strike anyone out. I know our hitting hasn’t been up to it so far, but I still think if we miss the playoffs, it’s going to be the pen. It’s nowhere near elite.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 I would have added Groshans or Martinez to that package. Unfortunately he had to fall in love with Cleveland. Might have dodged a bullet actually. Anyone who falls in love with Cleveland to the point where they'd sign a deal like that must have a screw loose. Not sure you want that in the clubhouse.

Martinez is our best dice roll at a cheap star as the team as a whole gets very expensive. I don’t like the idea of including him in any trade. Groshans sure.

Cleveland isn't that bad of a city as its made out to be. It's no Toronto yes haha, but it's the team he's known since he was a young player, better ballpark, he doesn't have to cross the border every time and it's a good sports town. Not sure if he lives in Cleveland all year long haha but yeah he still could have demanded more money for sure. Cleveland got lucky!
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 This team needs Biggio to be successful so his Mr serious attitude can rub off on the goofball halfwits
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 All good news. As bad as Biggio has been, he’s definitely still better than Zimmer and he provides the much needed positional versatility. Would be nice to see Bo get a day off, could have Biggio at 2nd and Espinal at SS. Also hopefully Biggio can start outplaying Tapia so we see less of him.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 f***ing Gardner, I hope he comes back to the AL so Alek can plant one in his back
JuniorFelix54 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Well Springer made it a whole 5 weeks before he got hurt again, might be a new record? The bats are really busting out tonight like every other game huh? I was wrong when I said this team sucked, this team is a flat out joke
JuniorFelix54 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 "Stay positive guys!, I'll be rooting you all on from the IL!" I guess he should've taken his own advice to slow down
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 I hope Rosenthal is full of s*** cause that deal wouldn't interest me at all.

Clearly you're not
BCZ Verified Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Springer and training staff are kind of idiots - let the guy continue playing - running in the outfield and down the bases - causing more injury and possibly adding weeks to his IL time

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Thats not how sprained ankles work You don’t think running on a freshly hurt ankle can injure it more or potentially injure other muscles for overcompensating??

If its a mild sprain, it will not. Just a matter of pain. The way he was able to move and run, seemed fine to try
