I mean, nice hit, but why is Santiago Espinal given the green light 3-0?

It's spring training and a shortened one at that. Best to allow the players to go out there and get their swings in.

Espinal hit that single 106.2 mph.

His career high at the majors is 104.2. The offseason 'roids are paying off.

Nice point. That would be pretty awesome to see that hard hit% go up with him.

Jays have a shortened spring training and once the season begins, only have one off day in their first 30 games. I do not think it out of the realm of possibilities that the Jays begin the upcoming season with a 6 man rotation. AND think that first month of baseball...will determine Nate's fate. IF he balls out, could be that he remains a starter.

I'd love to see that to be honest.

When people say "baseball is boring" I wonder if their only experience with baseball is watching a Tigers broadcast...

No its more like people going to their first baseball game in 3 years and then wondering why Vlad didn’t even hit a homerun? I thought this guy was supposed to be good…

I like the line, but was he actually nasty?

Of was it a case of kids swinging at stuff way out of the zone because they dont know any better yet?

Genuinely curious as I missed the game but i've seen this type of line from him before when the reality was he was all over the place and just bailed out by undisciplined hitters.

He was filthy... velo was high 90's, knee buckling curve, and sharp slider... *check for yourself 2Hr 18minute mark* https://mlb66.ir/simulator

After the first batter, he locked it down.

He was all over the zone, even with the fastball. He did miss a bit early on, but got in the rhythm in the 1st couple batters and then was throwing darts.
