Yeah you see stories like this all the time and it helps remind you that maaaaaybe it isn’t worth it to make a trade like Moreno for Bednar.

Hell even Josh Hader has been garbage this year

Nobody, even when smoking crack, on this board has said to trade Moreno for an RP, let alone Bednar….

I would hope that even the least knowledgeable posters on here would know enough to not be suggesting a Moreno for Bednar trade. Jansen for Bednar is likely similar value wise but it seems a little doubtful Jansen would be of great interest to the Pirates giving he only has a few remaining years of control.

I don't think I'd go so far as to suggest that Hader has been garbage this year as a whole. He went through a very uncharacteristic rough patch of about 10 days in July leading up to the All Star break. He's allowed 16 earned runs total on the season, however 12 of these came during an 11 day stretch from July 4 to July 15. Crazier yet is that 9 of these were surrendered in back to back outings on July 13 and 15 where he only recorded a single out combined. Aside from his two disastrous outings he's allowed all of 7 earned runs in his other 33-2/3 innings for an ERA of 1.87. Time will tell if he's managed to right the ship coming out of the All Star break or not, but early returns are very solid.

Josh Hader had two really tough innings back to back in July that caused his ERA to spike from 1.83 to 4.50. Otherwise, he's been dominant as hell. Reliever stats can be really volatile.

The implosion for Clay Holmes is coming at the right time for the Yankees with a huge division lead rather than in the Postseason haha. They'll give him time to right the ship. Even still with his numbers recently, he's been rock solid (1.77 ERA, 2.59xFIP and a 1.1 WAR).

One bad start = implosion now?

His last 14 games, he's issued 10 BB in 13.2 innings. He's hit a rough stretch.

People here were telling me Vladdy is not worth a ten year extension right now

Few weeks later old friend AA is giving Austin Riley guaranteed money until he's 35

I wonder what the Jays have offered Vlad at this point. Does Vlad accept 200/10? Is he a better hitter than Riley? We really don’t know for sure at this point

Could that be because Vladdy will want 400M for his 10 year extension? He's the type of guy I worry about getting fat as soon as he cashes in on his contract. Gotta keep the carrot dangling to the fatties lol

You don't like that deal? Or is it more aimed at people that don't want to extend Vladito?

Newsflash, fatties generally don’t chase carrots.

Niceee. Its a great park. Bring jackets because it can get cool near the water there, and watch out for seagulls towards the end of the game
