Still K'ng at a silly rate.

Definitely not the start that was anticipated. Sadly he needs to go down to AAA and get some reps against AAAA pitchers.

The bright lights of opening day and the expectations for him to carry a mediocre .500 team to a playoff spot were a lot for a young man to handle. He'll be fine after a stint in the minors.

Leury Garcia needs those at bats man

Didn't Realize the Stroshow was having a rough start...... That might shrink his head a bit.

You really think that's possible?

This makes me irrationally angry.

I recall Vlad received the same treatment from umpires as a rookie, mind you that is still happening on a regular basis.

This can break a top prospect. Hate to see that he has an elite eye and is being punished

Umps are f***ing up the game. But MLB is to blame, they simply won't do what needs to be done, which is training and development, and consequences for s***** umpiring.

Or players are to blame. Could have easily agreed to robo-umps for this season. Owners wanted it, union shut it down.

Thought of that, but that's really a separate issue from longstanding umpire tomf***ery.

I suppose the pitchers and the framer catchers didn't want roboumps.

Yeah that’s exactly it. Pitchers control the game. They’re f***ing babies and the fact that they might have “strike” calls taken away by a computer doesn’t sit well with them

Pitch clocks, shift bans, thicc bases and robo umps can't come soon enough.

f*** the players for putting us through one last season of this when we could have just gotten past it by now.

The Orioles have achieved a miraculously low 2.56 ERA (5th place in MLB) and are still 4-9. It's really pretty hilarious.

No wonder why my fantasy baseball lineup sucks right now haha!

Do you agree with the pitcher? I don't.

I've always hated this mentality. Play hard, no matter the score. Like, every single one of these players has been involved in a 7+ run inning, it's not like those don't happen.

A lot of players have bonuses in their contracts or are playing for contracts next season. Every run counts for someone. Quit being a whiny bitch and play the full 9 innings like you're paid to.

I get it, I can understand why they are upset. But what they are really mad it is being down by a bunch and not having a real chance to win, not that a guy tried to steal. Besides, as the announcer correctly stated, they weren't holding him on, so... they were they really all that concerned? And why not take the base anyways? If it's a game early on in the series, making their pitchers throw as many pitches as possible is a realistic goal since it would potentially help thin the pen for the next few games. And even if its the last game of a series, thin the pen as much as possible. It's not their job to make the other team's bullpen situation easier to manage going forward, division opponent or not.

Is there some arbitrary point where it’s no longer ok though? Sorry to say, it is part of the sport. Or any sport. You can not like that, especially people that never played sports growing up, but that’s how it’s played all the way through. When you get up by a very comfortable amount, you dial it back. In baseball, not steal bases. In basketball use up the clock. In football run the clock out.

So when a team does something opposite of that, yeah it’s going to ruffle some feathers. Not just from the stale old men, but the opposing players as well.
