Glad it was in jest, because if it wasn't it would a stupid take. And yes, it was 2017, that's 4 years ago. They just didn't announce the results of the investigation until January 2020.

Verlander is one of the guys I would love for the Jays to sign. I wonder if Verlander and Springer got on in Houston and if he'd have any positive influence in making that happen.
