sigh

Well I guess we gotta sweep the Os and hope Boston and Seattle choke

A sweep and a loss from each team isn't a stretch. We got this!!! :cool:

Valera .316 OBP vs. Grichuk .285.

Don't like either option, tbh.

Gurriel is on the bench lol

is he hurt right now?

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I'm wondering if Gurriel's hand really isn't ready at all. He did not look good in this series.

When is the public hanging for Grichuk?

It was a Valera strikeout vs. a Grichuk doubleplay,. Take your pick.

Pinch hitting for Grichuk was fine but using Valera? I guess it’s on brand for Charlie though.

6th inning of the most important game of the season and Montardo leaves the starter in after already giving up 2 homeruns in a walk in that inning... I don't care if he wins the Cy Young that s*** is galactically dumb.

Its not the worst move honestly. Probably rather lose with Ray then someone like Pearson or Richards

3rd time through the order is questionable.

Unbelievable that Montoyo used to work for the Rays. The team that knows how to optimize their bench than any other team

And he consistently makes dumb f*** pinch hitting decisions or avoids using them altogether

@DownToBlack

Montoyo going to Valera over Grichuk there is ridiculous.

Valera 0-9 lifetime vs 97+ mph

He wanted nothing to do with that at bat

Thru the Order AVG | OPS

1st Time .188 | .609

2nd Time .179 | .550

3rd Time .302 | .936

I find it funny (read: infuriating) that umpshows essentially ended the Blue Jays hot streak in Tampa and gave rise to the Yankees hot streak in Minnesota.

You can curse Charlie Dumbtoyo all you want (deservedly so), but when games in a crucial race are taken away from you via umpire incompetence, that f***ing blows even more.

Game one in this series, should've been out of the inning on a K, then 3 run dinger. Infuriating indeed.

Reality is every team faces s***** calls every night. They overcome them. We were lucky to win last night (in spite of Bo) due to the missed Springer pop up to shallow left. Good teams just know how to get it done. We are not there.....yet. This manager has definitely hindered our potential. It is a shame he will be pulling the strings in the spring of 2022. More's the pity.

I mean they did in the game immediately after that one with Joe West. A little more difficult to overcome when they are ******** strike 3 calls in the 9th inning.
