We just need to take care of business in Minnesota while the Yankees and Sox beat each other up. Hopefully the Red Sox f*** the Yankees pen up badly before they come to town Monday.

The Yankees just finished the easiest part of their remaining schedule and the Jays just finished the hardest of their remaining games. Tied in the loss column is a pretty solid outcome all things considered. Now they absolutely have to take care of business against the Twins/O’s and win the series against the Yanks.

The team has their destiny in their own hands. That’s really all you can ask for.

We’ve got 10 games left to go and we’re neck and neck in a playoff race. 3 games left against our main threat.

Its been an exciting season and these last few games should be fun.

Interesting. While you always prefer a home game over a road game, assuming that we concede WC1 to Boston and have the Jays fight for WC2, both this year and historically, the Jays have done much better at Fenway than at home versus Boston:

The Jays have a 43% win percentage historically at home against Boston but 46% at Fenway. What's really interesting (and irritating) is despite the 158-186 record in Fenway, the team has a positive run differential all time. 5.0 runs for versus 4.9 runs against. Much better than the home differential of 4.5-5.2. The last 2-3 years when this team has had a similar roster shows much the same. Better record at Fenway, better run differential, more runs per game. I guess it's because this team and the Jays teams that have proceeded it are built for Fenway. Right handed power hitters.

And of course Fenway is the location of one of the most legendary games and one of the first memories I had of baseball that got me into the game. The 10-0 comeback game in 1989.

That's what it's always felt like. Whenever the 2015 iteration of the team played at Fenway, it felt like at least once or twice a series, Edwin or Bautista were going to break a windshield in the parking lot behind the monster.

It feels the same way with this squad. They all hit moonshots.

It’s also a dump and smells like stale urine pretty much throughout the place. It should be imploded.

Wander Franco re activated

Hopefully the rays still have something to play for when they face the Yankees at the end of the season

Yeah

The last thing we want is the Rays handing games to the Yankees cause they don't care at that point

Although they hate the Yankees so they'll play for pride no matter what

Cole vs Eovakdi

About to start

Ya, this is fun. So many games matter. Also stressful as hell. Watching with my son. Heading to NYY game next Tues in Tor. The next 3 games of these 3 teams will be telling.

I haven't had the pleasure to experience it myself but thank you for the visual.

Yep. We're in full control of our destiny. It gives us more wiggle room if the Yankees lose, but the most important thing atm is probably for the two teams to beat the crap out of each other (and hopefully their pens).

Seattle is now tied with the Jays in the standings after winning 6 in a row.

Never would have expected them to come back but here we are. This next week should be extremely exciting.

It doesn't matter unless the Jays start winning again but....

At this point I'd actually like to see the Yankees somehow beat the Sox to tighten it all up. Why not.. . We get to play the Yankees again and they end with Tampa. Would be a super exciting last week with everything on the line and BOTH wildcard spots still up for grabs.

Team chaos. Wouldn’t it be crazy if the wildcard ended up Seattle vs Toronto somehow?? Lol definitely a pipe dream
