max silver Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 It would be amazing if the Yankees ended up losing out on the Wild Card as a direct result of their s***** play against the Orioles.

Laika Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Yesssssss the team formerly known as the Indians just opened up a big lead The orange birds are also threatening against Boston and have had runners on all day
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Go Guardians! Looks like the wild card game is going through Boston.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Go Guardians! Looks like the wild card game is going through Boston. Red Sox schedule down the stretch is way too easy. I think they are a lock for one of the spots. It's going to come down to that 3 game series at RC with the Jays/Yanks. Have to take care of business.
mellowgold Verified Member Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Yeah the only way the Sox might get into trouble is if they get swept by the Yanks next weekend. Seems unlikely though. I guess we should probably be hoping for a Sox sweep if anything. It's hard to picture the Yanks recovering from that. We would probably knock them completely out of it by taking two of three in the following series.

We seem to always play well there and less pressure the being at home. Though would be awesome to see the electricity at the RC for a Wild Card game.

It would be so so sweet to go into Fenway for the wildcard game and totally silence that crowd with a nice 5 run inning early on.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Springer Semien Teoscar and Vladdy in that ballpark makes me feel giddy The Monster might not be an advantage for Vladdy.
mellowgold Verified Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Yup. The Jays scored over six runs a game in Fenway this year, including outbursts of 13 and 18.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 The Monster might not be an advantage for Vladdy. 112 mph line drive singles into the wall and then thrown quickly to 2B?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Chris Sale or Gerrit Cole vs Robbie Ray... pick your poison! Bring it Mofo's!

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 The Monster might not be an advantage for Vladdy. What's the rule if he drives the ball right through that s***** wall?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 What's the rule if he drives the ball right through that s***** wall? Was thinking something similar except that it makes a big dent and just stays lodged in the wall. Ground rule double
mellowgold Verified Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Yanks and Cole down 2-0 in the first
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Yanks and Cole down 2-0 in the first Good hopefully he gets throated.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Yanks down 4 - 0 to the Guardians Edit: 5 - 0
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Good hopefully he gets throated. This is going nicely.
mellowgold Verified Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Cole just gonna concede the Cy to Ray
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Apparently on Twitter people are saying Cole glanced at the Out of Town Scoreboard during a mound visit and started cursing lol
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Apparently on Twitter people are saying Cole glanced at the Out of Town Scoreboard during a mound visit and started cursing lol I think he was cursing about getting rocked and giving up 4 runs lol
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Guardians up 7 - 1 Cole got a bit booed, 100+ pitches through 5 2/3, 7 ER
Ray Verified Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Well, that could effectively end Coles Cy Young chances.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Well, that could effectively end Coles Cy Young chances. Not quite yet. But he’s certainly not been himself since his short start against the Jays. He was probably the clear favorite going into that outing. Now Ray is going into his big start against Tampa tomorrow.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Orioles take the lead from Mancini bases-clearing double after 3 straight walks by Sawamura 6 - 5 Orange birbs.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Orioles just took a lead at Fenway. Just one miracle win would go such a long way for us
Ray Verified Member Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 And Garret Whitlock (by far and away the Red Sox best reliever) just got pulled from the game due to an injury too.
