TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Author Posted July 25, 2021 Idiot Mets fans booing their own battery for calling time.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 This team will break your heart, they're obviously not ready yet.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Think they’ll win a game in Boston? Yeah we're going to sweep the series.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Whatever man that was a tough slider. Game was lost well before the 9th
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Glad we used Barnes in a tie game
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Montoyo gotta go. Can't be using Barnes in a 3-3 game
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Although Cimber recorded 1.1 innings of work yesterday, he only threw 11 pitches. Would it not have made sense to use Cimber in a tie game late instead of Barnes? Submariners usually don't wear as quickly as a traditional delivery also. Why the f*** did we trade for him again?
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Author Posted July 25, 2021 No chance Puntoyo uses another decent reliever the rest of the game unless the Jays make a miracle rally in the top of the inning. Called it.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 This team f***ing sucks. Stay in Buffalo.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 It's always the f***ing bullpen isn't it
Slyfisher Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Trade deadline day can't come soon enough!
spats Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Great and Boston takes 3/4 from the Yankees. Typical Boston win...losing 4-0 score 5 in the bottom of the 8th...outhit 9-5. When do the Jays ever do this. Win by 7 or more, lose by 1

spats Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 We're not catching Boston anyway. It's better the Yankees lost. We're not catching anyone.Just hate Boston and would like to see the Jays with a comeback win by 1

TrueNorth Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 This team appears to be able to win consistently only when they hit the sh!t out of the other team’s pitching but ask to hold a close lead or come back from a run or two down and it’s like climbing Mt Everest in their Bermuda shorts and flip flops…one colossal downfall.

Charlie thinks all pitchers in his pen are worthy of pitching in any situation...boy is he wrong
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Another rough loss, our BP man. This game was very winnable with a few key hits as well. Frustrating.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 He’s literally a braindead dolt and this team is going nowhere with him in charge I really have to wonder what the hell Atkins is thinking and whether he's the right guy for the job if he thinks Montoyo is doing an acceptable job. Is there even a manger in the league who's worse? If there is, I can't think of one.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 A lefty versus 3 out of 4 lefties is a bad matchup now? Borucki just f***ing blew it, that's not on Montoyo for making the reasonable call. Doesn't matter. Alonso is clearly the centerpiece of that lineup and the batter that the most attention needs to be placed on and he literally JUST hit a bomb off of Borucki. Why put him in the position to do the same again?
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 The Umpire, the manager and the Blue Jays reliever all collectively f*** the Blue Jays in the same inning. The 2021 special. Yeah, cause it's not like the Jays got any favorable calls either:rolleyes: For example, Stripling clearly walked Hill in the 5th which would've loaded the bases.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Feels like a wasted season with this offense, too many winnable games lost, cannot win close games.

The front office thinks a manager's ability to increase collective positivity is more important than the manager's tactical skill. Or something like that. Maybe they think tactical competency can be learned but attitude can't and they love Charlie's smile. I don't know. Ugh.

Or they have an intern that looks at baseball reference in-game probabilities and gives them a report every day and running total of what Charlie's blunder cost. Intern: Today was a terrible day. Blue Jays Message board is angry as the birds. Charlie bunted at the wrong time and reduced the team's win probability from 34.8 to 33.7. A terrible day indeed. Intern: Today was a terrible day. Charlie used the wrong reliever and reduced the in game win probability from 70.9 to 70.6. Blue Jays message board has gone nuts.

He really brings nothing for them. He belongs in the minors playing with kids.
