So now our bullpen is comprised of:

Romano

Cimber

Richards

Mayza

Barnes

Castro

Kay

Saucedo

Dolis

Thornton

with Merryweather, Hatch and Borucki on their way.

Hatch to the pen? When did this happen?

Management seems intent on keeping him stretched out to start. With the improvement of Stripling and the promotion of Monoah this is no longer required. And management is not reacting to what this team needs.

Keep Milone and Zeuch as your emergency 6th SPs and get Hatch's butt up to the BP. NOW.

It's not as if they have acquired 3 relievers in the last couple of weeks.

With the additions of Cimber, Richards and Barnes, and the eventual return of Borucki, I'm okay with them stretching Hatch out in AAA for rotation insurance. Someone is bound to get hurt or maybe Matz will continue to suck. I would send Kay or Thornton down to stretch one of them out too.

Pretty sure we're not done trading for bullpen help either.

Get 2 arms for a dude who no longer has a real spot in the lineup. I'll take it!

Video of Bowden Francis from the 2019 season:

Apparently sits low to mid 90’s. Kind of a side arm release. The slider looks pretty good from what little I’ve seen. At worst, seems like he could be a good option against righties.

Probably a good option for NH.

They acquired 3 Bp arms in the last few weeks and it's not the trade deadline yet lol.

Milone or Zeuch getting starts for any extended period would be even more disgusting than our current bullpen.

Maintain starting depth and keep switching out our garbage relievers via trade.

Outside of Hatch in AAA who would you want to start 4-5 games in case of injury? Zeuch sucks, Milone sucks. Overton, Logue and Murray are not on the 40 man roster and Allgeyer has been struggling.

Glad to see Rowdy go. He's a bad player who probably beat up his girlfriend. He'll be out of MLB in 2 years or less.

I'm actually very surprised that Ross could even get a viable MLB reliever for him, as Rowdy is a below average hitter with no defensive value and the very definition of replacement level.

Kay + Thornton piggyback, or something like that.

Nice to sure up the BP but would have been nicer a month ago before we blew a bazillion 1 run games.

Rowdy will do well if given ample playing time. I believe he was a victim to bad luck this year with low BABIP and HR/FB.

He certainly was. This could easily be a big win for both sides.

This is a great trade anytime you can trade a redundant piece of your team for much needed pieces like pitching that they desperately need is a big WIN for the Jays. Rowdy fate was sealed the day they decided to move Vladdy to 1st base unfortunately he couldn't play any other position and the DH spot was needed for others it became much harder to find him AB plus having a bad year didn't help his cause. The Blue Jays did the best thing they could've done trade him cause he wasn't sticking around with this team. Good job by Atkins he got much better return than expected for Tellez.

Fans on the Brewers forum seem fairly satisfied with this trade as well. I was a little surprised by that since I thought we won the deal by a decent margin. Hopefully this is a big win-win deal for both teams.

They're hoping they get Tellez of 2020. If they do, that's a nice bat.

You actually think Rowdy had a girlfriend?

1B has been a black hole for them

And Yellich has 5 home runs

Guess their pitching is the only reason for their success so far this year

I like the Brewers team. I like Rowdy. 2 teams trading from areas of strength. I hope both teams prosper. You don't see 2 teams in the hunt for the playoffs trading that often anymore.

Indeed

I hope it works out well for both

First base is a big area of weakness for the Brewers, and Tellez (at least the 2020 version) has shown some glimpses of upside with the bat. Whether he turns into anything remains to be seen, but for a reliever and a fringe SP prospect, I think the Brewers made out pretty well. If Rowdy flops, no big loss for them. A good trade for both sides.
