bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 There really isn’t a reason not to use Romano twice. I believe Liam Hendriks has pitched twice in a day on two occasions this year. Yesterday
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 I've never seen anything like this. If there's ever a fireable offense, this one is it Its not even the first time... literally the exact same pitcher lost us a game the exact same way THIS SAME WEEK. I just can’t
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 We better not see Chatwood whining about being pulled earlier than he'd like again this year. Some relievers just don’t have it for whatever reason in a closer role.

Anybody but Charlie Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Literally could have thrown anyone out there other than Chatwood. Anyone. The dude could not find the strike zone at all. Bringing him out back for the seventh was one of the stupidest managerial decisions I've ever seen in my lifetime. Blue Jays are going nowhere with this f***ing retard as manager

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Charlie has forever made me dispense with the defensible premise that managers have little impact on game outcomes.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Why the f*** do you have to “let him work it out”? He already lost us a game last week by walking guys. He was, until last week the second best reliever on the team. Unless there is a health issue or a mental issue you have to go with him. The real problem is the 3 of the 4 relievers on the team are going to miss either the entire season or most of it. They have an assortment of the scrub relievers and Chatwood looked good for almost 2 months. I don't think you can give up on him after one outing. After two it's obvious something is wrong
ShowtimeBelli Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 I can't continue to watch this night in and night out. Invest way too much time watching this clown piss away games. Never seen a manager have such an impact on his team. I'm disgusted
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 The game has been over for 45 mins and I still can't believe how absurd that was. I agree with whoever said that Charlie must have had money on the Indians Just completely pissed away a win and a series sweep
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Going to his best arms in game 1 when Stripling was cruising was the first mistake, whatever I just watched in game 2 was simply incredible. Whether he did it out of sheer incompetence or to prove a point doesn't matter. I've always felt that people vastly overweigh the importance of managers, but this guy's really bad, he's really bad. The amount of dumb in his decision-making over the past couple of years is actually remarkable especially for somebody who gets paid to do it at the highest level. I generally do not call for the manager's head, but he needs to be gone. This team should not be barely above .500. Kicking away these winnable games in this division is killer.
Anybody but Charlie Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Where is that fat ass Spanky always calling me a troll? When all I've been doing since I joined this forum is ripping on someone who deserves every bit of it. This team is dead in the water until we get rid of Charlie.

Matz and Stripling were both cruising. Matz stopped cruising as often happens. He made the exact decision you wanted (let a cruising pitcher go a bit further) and it back-fired.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 This is the kind of loss that sinks a season. Prepare for a 10 game losing skid Every player for themselves at this point. Thhe manager doesn't care about winning so why should the players. Play for your stats Play for your contracts
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 So, who gets called up when Chatwood goes on the IL with "soreness"?

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 This is why you were fired, dork Imagine being paid to cover baseball for decades and not realizing that Charlie’s handling of that inning was pretty much unprecedented.

If you have good stats, you're probably going to be a winning team! We're going to win in spite of the manager, but I'm sure the players are pissed and realize they should have 2, 3 or even 4 more wins in the win column right now.
Jgarza868899 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Never figured they’d win the division but a wildcard spot will be hard to come by. Is this team better than Houston, Yankees, Red Sox?

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 This is why you were fired, dork If this were the first brutal managing mistake this year/month/week sure maybe he has a point, but he's been consistently horrid. Just f***ing awful.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Mike Wilner tweets should be a bannabe offense, even if it is just to mock. He doesn't deserve the honor of being taken seriously enough to mock.

ThatÂ’s if you have a brain, which charlie does not I totally agree with this. However what reliever on this team does have good career stats? I think it was reasonable to use Romano in the first game. A lot of people think that using Romano was the mistake. However we don't have a second reliever we can trust, so had to just take the first win there.

You cannot, for any reason, under any circumstance, let a relief pitcher walk 4 batters in a row in the final inning of a 1-run game. Unless that pitcher is named Chapman AND the bullpen is depleted.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Really good teams are well known for taking their foot off the gas and being fine with 2/3.
Anybody but Charlie Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 You dumb f*** Too much beta mentality oozing out of our manager. Just accept you made a bad decision. Always trying to look at the brighter side. Charlie seems like the kind of guy who would watch his wife have sex with someone else
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 I think we need to classify Chatwood as a C-tier reliever again. He IS NOT one of our best relief pitchers.
