Slyfisher Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Ryu, Ray, Pearson, Matz and Manoah would be a great 5 man rotation!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 What’s your take Pearson will be back in a start or two, we won't see Manoah anytime soon. I've already said as much.
Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Ryu, Ray, Pearson, Matz and Manoah would be a great 5 man rotation! at the end of the season and hopefully into the playoffs. Lets see how things are going for the next little while, if in the WC hunt or better, I say leave them in minors with innings limits then call up for the playoff push! Hate to use up all their innings and lose them for the playoffs (if the Jays make it)

Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Pearson too? Nah, it's his time to shine! Wish it wasn't the case but yes.....or bring him up with severe innings limits. What do you think his innings limits are?...I have no clue and speculating maybe 80 to 100? He'll probably burn 20 to 25 in minors if he gets called up which leaves just approx 60 to 80 in the majors. I have no idea what they Jays brass thinking is so we shall see. Regardless what they decide we'll be bitchin and moaning about it!
Slyfisher Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 I don't know if or when Pearson and Manoah can come up and contribute. Highly doubtful we see Manoah before the Sept call up but it would be nice if he could play well enough to force their hand
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Unless Pearson gets hurt, he'll be up first. have they announced a starter for Sunday?
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Watching Ray, Pearson and Manoah in a row would be a lot of fun. A 3 game set against a team like Oakland that doesn't deal well with the 95/hour+ stuff would be a lot of fun.

He could be really effective 2 times through the order -- fresh next time. Or they could even do the 5-2-5-2 thing which they did a couple of years ago and seemed to keep him healthy and effective.

Like they did prior... that'd drive fans nuts.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Barker prefers Manoah, so it's confirmed that Pearson is the superior pitcher.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Astros can hit, hope we get some good pitching..Go Jays!!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Barker prefers Manoah, so it's confirmed that Pearson is the superior pitcher. I'd be lying if this thought didn't already cross my mind.

Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Isn't it a beautiful thing that it doesn't really f***ing matter who is the best pitching prospect between the two, the Jays have both, and they are both at AAA just a twat hair away from being full time big leaguer's. It's f***ing awesome is what it is. Hopefully both can stay healthy and put up double digit K/9 numbers for years to come. The two towers baby. I really like the idea of calling both up at the same time and running them both out there in a 6 man rotation and letting them push each other. Compete, so to speak.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 God Brantley in this lineup would be perfect. I’m still sad that didn’t happen.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Good luck with that lineup Stripling lol Shut it Jonn.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 I'll be surprised if Stripling doesn't get hit by the stros. Prove me wrong.
