I've been avoiding watching these games because I know they were going to frustrating (f***in' Athletics) but hopefully Ray puts on a show tonight.

after the Springer debacle, some fans are going to lose it if Ryu isn't back tomorrow. He should be back though.

He's DTD... they're not going to put him on the DL now. If he gets near 10 days than it's possible.

While we're trotting out Panik at 1B? It would defeat the purpose of putting him on the 10 day IL at that point. If he's not good enough to even DH right now then there's no way he should be out there within 10 days.

Would it be easier being an Oakland or Tampa Bay fan? I hate this s***. Not healing is not good. I'd be surprised if he is able to play consistently before the all star break...

 

I bet we don't see him until then at this point, after the failure of the first recovery, just let it rest, let it heal if it will heal.

 

Between Springer and Tulo the highest paid position player has given us like 2 WAR since 2016

 

2016 - Tulo - 2 or 3 WAR

2017 - Tulo nothing

2018 - Tulo nothing

2019 - Tulo nothing

2020 - Tulo nothing

2021 - Springer nothing (so far)

 

It's the highest paid player curse. Between Tulo and Springer it's like 10 years, 250 million for nothing. Stop with this s*** and just operate Tampa Bay Oakland style, and I don't know if you have extra money be super creative but no long term s***, it's just a curse...

At this point I'm convinced Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox, have first crack at the valuable free agents or trade targets, and we only get them if they don't pass those team's medicals and/or injury prediction algorithm....

 

so if we get them, they've already been flagged as a huge risk by the good teams systems... so in that case just operate like TB with extra money somehow creatively used to get more young players.

They can still call up Tellez, just option a reliever like Tice. What do you mean it defeats the purpose, it's retroactive to Sunday and he's DTD? Putting Panik at first is Montardo.
