Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 I really just can't understand why Zeuch is even in the organization to be honest. Being a first rounder will get you a lot of rope, regardless of how awful you are. If he was a 13th rounder we probably wouldn't know who he was.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 What happened to the velocity improvement? I haven't seen anything above 93...
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 I really just can't understand why Zeuch is even in the organization to be honest. He’s tall

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Damn Rowdy. 418 feet at 110.5MPH. That f***er left the yard QUICK.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Why didn't Harper try to beat the shift with a grounder?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Damn Rowdy. 418 feet at 110.5MPH. That f***er left the yard QUICK. Was too quick for the camera to even follow
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Why didn't Harper try to beat the shift with a grounder? Situational hitting my friend. Not everyone should change their swing but this was 2 outs and no one on while up 3 runs... screw changing your swing. Try to smash. I cant be the only one who understands this stuff. Has anyone here ever played baseball at all? Lol
bronson44 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 98mph fastball to a 79mph changeup is pretty nasty

Has anyone here ever played baseball at all? Lol There's a difference between "choking up and trying to put the ball in play" and "Sending a ground ball exactly 6.5' away from 3rd base because the 3rd baseman is 10' from the bag" I mean, you've played baseball where you have to deal with guys throwing 85 tops, with a telegraphed curve and maybe a changeup. You simply cannot compare what you have done to hitting a MLB fastball, even one as generally poor as Zoinks.

If he was a 13th rounder we probably wouldn't know who he was. Sure we would. He'd be the guy helping you load drywall into your van at Home Depot. We'd call him 'Stretch'
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Only if they're True Cardinals. Also, Vladdy made a really nice play there, and then Bo made a terribly ill advised throw. I don't think he was around for that, good times.
Ray Verified Member Posted March 29, 2021 Author Posted March 29, 2021 That was a seriously impressive homer off the bat of Orelvis Martinez.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Romano isn't a "prototypical closer" according to the Phillies' announcers. I mean, isn't "strikes out a lot of guys with some serious heat and doesn't allow many runs" kinda... prototypical?

You'll have to excuse them, they're Philly announcers so they haven't seen a good reliever of any kind lol.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Unexpected tie game! Also, Espinal having a great spring.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Unexpected tie game! Also, Espinal having a great spring. Great to see, he smoked that cookie!
Ray Verified Member Posted March 29, 2021 Author Posted March 29, 2021 Granted, that was a cookie, but still impressive for Espinal to take a 99 mph fastball by Alvarado deep. Good to know he's waiting in the minors in case of injury. Always been intrigued by his profile
Ryu In My House Verified Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 I find Wall very intriguing. He's has a good ST and he bats left. If we trade Grichuk, could he take his place? Can he play all three OF positions?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 That 2023 ETA for Martinez might get pushed to 2022 after today
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 LOL @ Phillies bullpen. They must be going crazy even if it's just Spring lol

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 This inning may still be going by the time they're supposed to start the first regular season game...
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 The nerd glasses are back!! I refuse to believe J.D. Hammer exists. I mean, the name is improbable enough, but LOOK AT HIM.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 The nerd glasses are back!! Still couldn't help him locate the strike zone lol
