Other 10% are not allowed in

The other teams aren't going to accept having to leave 10% of their roster at home for Jays home games. So that is not a solution.

No they wouldn't but by August I would assume the covid numbers are very low thanks to vaccines, Here in Jersey numbers have gone way down already , Vaccine work, put those that choose to be unvaccinated in a bubble and tested daily

We should've put those who were scared of the virus in a bubble to start with and let the normal people live their lives

Holy f***!

Well, if COVID won't kill you in West Virginia, guns will.

What about in Chicago?

A committee representing 7 Ontario pro teams (MLSE’s 4, Jays, Ticats, Redblacks), submitted proposal last week seeking up to 35 % of stadium capacity open for Ontario’s stage 2 reopening and up to 100 % for stage 3. Stage 2 could be early as July 2. Stage 3 as early as July 23rd.

Committee was put together by Lisa MacLeod, Ontario’s minister of Heritage, Sport and Tourism. And fronted by Nick Eaves, MLSE’s chief venues and operations officer.

I’m led to believe there are no vaccine requirements in the proposal to open-up pro sports facilities to fans in Ontario’s stage 2 and stage 3 reopenings, submitted by committee representing 7 pro franchises.

This sounds promising

Is there a scenario which sees this team as a seller at the deadline? They sure do have some nice pieces that could net a pretty return. Obviously everything would have to go very wrong for that to happen.

Yes, a scenario where the pitching gets even worse than it already is.

Well, the Jays are currently 28th in pitcher WAR already, but it could get worse still I suppose.

They'd have to play like total garbage going forward. Can't really see it happening. Worst case scenario seems like a .500 team

I understand any discussion about COVID usually goes off the rails. However isn't when and how the team will return to play in Toronto a pretty important issue to everybody on the board?

Yeah, and it was fine for a bit but it went off the rails.

A lot of the time with COVID, Jimcanuk is the culprit. Seems like he just can't help but make some generalized political comment.

Why are they going from one extreme with springer to the other, get the guy on a rehab assignment for f*** sakes.

7 games out

5-5 in last 10

TB 7-3

BOS 6-4

That sweep in CLE Charlie handed to a wild Chatwood to finish off...was kind of important. This division is tough.

He'll be 100% for 2022

The Jays schedule is kind of completely ********, they haven't even played the orioles yet, meanwhile it seems like the Rays and Redsox are getting gimmie series back to back to back. It'll all even out in the end of course, but its super noticeable this year .

Bullpen hierarchy:

Romano

Castro

Payamps

Chatwood

Mayza

Dolis

Thornton

Carl Edwards Jr

There’s an alternate universe where Merryweather, Borucki, Phelps, and Yates stay healthy and we have 37 wins by now.

Still, we’re in a great spot considering we’ve had the hardest schedule and have had some key injuries. Have yet to go on a real hot streak.
