Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 With the way the season has unfolded up to this point I wouldn't bet against it. Yeah, falling with a baby cost us 2 starts from Ray, who'd have thought that. lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 I would say this favors us since Matz and Ray are both good, and our bullpen is kinda weak right now. The fact that we only have to play 7 innings each SHOULD mean we won’t see more than 2-3 relievers tomorrow Are we sure Milone isn't still starting tomorrow? *shifty eyes*
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 I've checked through articles and tweets, can't find if the Jays mentioned the oblique strains level on Merryweather, anyone know if it's a 1 or 2?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Are we sure Milone isn't still starting tomorrow? *shifty eyes* We're looking at slim pickings in the minors. Bergen, Tice, and Luciano are the only roster pitchers left that aren't injured.

How did we get here? So depressing.

I know, he has Matz and Ray pitching today, right now it's Matz game 1 and Milone starting game 2, haven't seen anything on Ray. Yeah, by this tweet Milone's pitching tonight...

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Why does Milone need to start though... Ask Chuckles bro, has Ray been properly rested? Nope this would be his normal start day, lol. Maybe he wants to give Ray and Ryu an extra days rest.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Why does Milone need to start though... Opener only maybe? Or just a full on bullpen game?

Ex Player Verified Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 With all the injuries piling up it'll be a miracle Jays can play .500 for next week or two. Anything more is bonus

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Please man... I want to see this lineup at full strength.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 (edited) With all the injuries piling up it'll be a miracle Jays can play .500 for next week or two. Anything more is bonus They really just need to hover around .500 until Springer and Teoscar returns. Yankees looking vulnerable and I don’t buy into the Red Sox contending. Rays aren’t as good as last year, the AL East is wide open. Edited April 17, 2021 by BlueRocky
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Why does Milone need to start though... Seems like every starter is getting extra days and not the usual 4 days of rest. I don't mind it over 162 coming off a 60 game season, especially with Ryu who they must protect at all costs. Hopefully it means more starts for Kay and less for Millone, but no choice tonight.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Yankees lose again. I'm loving it. I hope they finish dead last this year

The Sox will fall back to earth...it's early, this division is there for the taking, especially if we upgrade at the deadline.

I think we're finishing #2
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 They might, or they could also have an All-Star lineup again on their IL. More than half their guys are injury prone, the Jays absolutely have a chance at the divison if the guys come back strong.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Merryweather..... Dammit. Although no one should really be surprised.

Merryweather..... Dammit. Although no one should really be surprised. I was asking about the grade strain yesterday, obviously a grade 2, that'll be a couple months... I guess we'll see if they move him to the 60 day IL.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Merryweather must be the unluckiest person or he just has a horrible training regiment. Sucks to see a player with such amazing stuff that can never build on his skills because of injuries. I legit think he has the best stuff on our team and that includes Ryu.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 About time he stopped being a pussy whats tantamount to a regular flu. I had it. Its basically a flu without the lung infection. Yes I get it that people die. But people die from the flu every year too
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 About time he stopped being a pussy whats tantamount to a regular flu. I had it. Its basically a flu without the lung infection. Yes I get it that people die. But people die from the flu every year too This is a really stupid post. You should be ashamed for this. Healthy people with no previous ailments are getting flattened from this. My BIL's FIL was a perfectly healthy 50 yr old and is in the ICU not able to breath on his own and most likely terminal. He's never had lung problems, and as fit as you can get for his age. Saying it's just a fly is extremely disrespectful..
