G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 (edited) The Yankees are the walking dead right now. I haven't seen a more lifeless team in the majors this year. The Orioles, Rangers, Royals, DBacks all suck, but at least they look like they're trying. They're just really bad. On a side note, the Twins seem like an actually decent-to-good lineup. Hopefully our pitching shows up in those games, because we can easily be burned by their hitters. Don't think those games are as easy cakewalks at it may seem by their record. It's hilarious how falsely good they looked for a week and half after trading for Gallo and Rizzo and now they're a pile of dogshit again They've also moved Gleyber Torres back to 2B now. Only about a year too late..... Edited September 13, 2021 by G-Snarls
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 I hope the Padres make it to the Wild Card game. Whether you agree with how they were built or not, they bring star power (Tatis is more fun to watch than anyone on the Reds or Cardinals) and there is a rivalry with the Dodgers that could make for a more fun do or die game. However, with the amount of games they have left against the Giants, and the fact that the Giants never lose games, it will be tough. I've always liked the Cardinals fanbase, so if it not the Padres, then put the Cards in there.

They're currently getting one-hit through 5 by a parade of fringe MLB arms in a must-win game. It's very sad to watch.

I love Cardinals fans Dad and I went to two WS series games there the year they traded Colby Rasmus to the Jays for bullpen help. Had some great conversations with people sitting around us during those 4 hour games.

Laika Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Did you not watch his last game, against Toronto, when he walked SEVEN guys!? Gil is not an MLB SP right now. Or maybe he is lol. 8:1 strikeout to walk is nice.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Or maybe he is lol. 8:1 strikeout to walk is nice. Was just going to post that. That’s actually a workable start in a OBP and K/BB league
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Padres are 25-35 since the beginning of June. That's got to from the end of June, the amount of games don't add up.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 I hope the Cards take the last WC spot. Preller is a moron, and the Reds didn't even try to assemble a good team in the offseason. Give me Waino starting a WC game plz. You really are *A True Cardinal*, bro.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Anyone else starting off the fantasy playoffs with a Gil special? f*** lol... that sucks, at least he stayed in the game to help your numbers.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Nothing going right for Boone
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 I want the Padres in the PS... so much star power, f*** the Central.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 FU Aaron Judge Tie game now
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 lol... that sucks, at least he stayed in the game to help your numbers. Yeah just ERA bad. I’ll take the 8 K’s and not overly bad whip. I have Manoah and Alcantara going later. Hopefully Manoah gets back on track
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 FU Aaron Judge Tie game now Damn checked like 1m ago and was 5-2. Was assuming Yankees were losing
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Holy f*** Gio Urshela what was that?
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Urshela pinch hits for Wade to lead off the 10th and strikes out on three straight missed bunts. It's like the Yankees don't want to win.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Holy f*** Gio Urshela what was that? There's no way Boone called the third one, right?

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 The Giants are twisting the knife into the hearts of the Padres right in the 1st inning tonight.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Well then, lol. That worked out, they both shoved. Yeah and Yu was his only SP today, so going ok. Just looked and it’s crazy Vlad, Bo, and Semien Top 5 in the league. Teo 15 and likely higher tomorrow. Crazy how good they’ve been
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 What's up with Darvish? Dude's been horrible again tonight.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Who the heck is Siri? Prospect, had a 50 FV at one point.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Ryan Braun is retiring.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Ryan Braun is retiring. It was inevitable, pretty good career.
