Apparently Garrett Richards is not even a big leaguer without sticky stuff.

Garrett Richards literally doesn't know how to pitch without foreign substances. Already given up three bombs today and almost gave up a fourth that Hernandez pulled back.

2 more bombs tonight 11 in his last 9 games. Unreal.

Well, without the sticky the pitchers have regressed to what used to be AAA level pitching.

Even wilder: 15 home runs in 17 days. Shortest time span for 15 home runs in major league history.

They need a gripping agent, MLB f***ed this up, again.

Maybe pitchers will go back to actually trying to fool the hitter again rather than just trying to power everything through them.

Maybe pitchers have used sunscreen their entire careers, batters don't even give a s*** if they do. It wasn't thought through thoroughly enough.

Jays are 18th in MLB, we were around 10th earlier in the season, before the rest of our BP decided to die.

Yankees are likely a mediocre team, and have $90M AAV tied up for the foreseeable future between non-spider tack Gerrit Cole, an aging Stanton and Hicks who can’t really play the OF anymore, and DJ LeMahieu in the non-juiced ball era.

You love to see it.

Do the Red Sox ever lose? Down 5-2, came back.

Another 1 run win. How many have they had this year. I hate that f***ing team.

Hicks can play the OF, he was their CF'er. And DJ. Lemahieu has been on fire.

Some hitters can't hit without the juiced ball. Some pitchers can't pitch without sticky stuff. What is real anymore?

The Schwarber tweet about his wOBA against slightly lower fastball spin rates was fascinating. I wonder if there are any other players who have drastic splits vs spin like that.

What was it 300 RPM, that'd be a fascinating study.

I just saw someone post that in 1941 when Ted Williams hit .406 that he reached on error exactly ZERO times.

lol so is the implication that he would have only hit .390 or whatever by today's scoring standards? makes sense actually

seems wrong though

i just can't see that being true.

This stuff takes time to adjust and find an equilibrium. Pitchers will find a more discreet way to get a grip back. What was stupid was Manfred doing this in the middle of the season. I think it'll work out to the Jays benefit as well as to anyone who bets on run totals.
