Exactly - as happens in almost all unions, equality and inclusion are deemed more important than performance.

 

Why would any umpire go above and beyond to get better when Angel and Joe West still have jobs and get playoff assignments.

I didn't see the other posts, but this has always been a pretty open forum when it comes to discussing baseball politics. I don't entirely agree that this topic should be out of bounds entirely.

They should foresee COVID cancellations this year, rain, and there were games canx for social justice reasons last year. Regardless, every team should play baseball on Sundays during the season and Fridays for that matter.

We already went through this CD, I don't understand the Sunday day-offs as I saw for the first time. That was messed up. You were able to be Daddy Friday as Toronto played. I do hope the remaining schedule after openers remain the "Same" afterwards, use Mondays and Thursday's like normal.

I believe something is wrong. They held him out of spring training until around the mid/end of March. They've barely used him this season - only 3 games so far and he's gotten torched in each of them.

 

Seems off. Wouldn't be surprised to see an IL stint in the near future. He had a strained rotator cuff last playoffs. I really doubt he's healthy right now.
