I wouldn't take that deal if I were Tatis. He's going to be a free agent at age 26. Who knows what the economics of the game will look like in 4 years, or his performance, but I would imagine between his talent, age, and marketability, he could easily break $400M if he stays on the same path he's on now. That's on top of his arb numbers which would likely be pretty high. He just signed a national endorsement deal with Gatorade, and has deals with Adidas and BMW as well. He'd be fine waiting a couple of years. Then again, maybe he just wants 11 years of not having to worry about MLB money, and can focus on making money in other ways.

He coud also break his leg twice and get non tendered

That seems very reckless with Tatis for someone who isn't arbitration eligible yet. Would he really get more 2 years from now?

The article mentions how LeMahieu wants close to the same contract that J.D. Martinez got, but if anything Martinez should act as a cautionary tale as to how quickly a player can decline in their 30's. Martinez is all but certain to bounce back to some degree but he had an incredibly bad year in a season that he started at the ripe old age of 32.

2. Lindor will consider an extention with the Mets but won't negotiate after rhe season starts. Wonder if they pull it off.

It pains to say it because I don't really like him, but we may need Drake's help to close the deal with Bauer. If Drake agrees to do some cross promotional stuff with Bauer on social media that may seal the deal for us!
