Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 why the f*** would that matter post-draft? A draft where he was the third overall pick to boot lmao.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 why would that matter post-draft? Yeah meant pre. Lot of chatter he was drafted way higher than should’ve been. But in context of what you were saying, agreed

glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Really pulling for the Padres here. I've seen enough of the Cards for the last two decades. Time for Tatis to carry this sport on his back!
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Woodruff v Kershaw is playoff baseball perfection so far Hopefully some day the Toronto Blue Jays have a real starting rotation

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 It's the Brewers offense but Kershaw has been a treat to watch tonight.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Wow. That's a huge mistake by Urias.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Huge games for Kershaw and Tatis Jr Love it
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 That's nutty. How much do we trust fangraphs' catcher metrics? Votto has a godly slashline and is one of the best hitters of his generation so that would probably make a better case to HoF voters than fWAR Good question on C. Apples to apples, When you think about HOF, a lot of people would pick Y Molina as a lock for HOF. He has less career WAR than Russell Martin.

Lots of great catchers are probably immensely undervalued by any current version of WAR.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 My f***ing internet dropped in the bottom of the 7th inning the bastards!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Who hit the HR for the Marlins? Hahaha... Coop!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I actually wouldn't mind the Marlins winning it all just for the sheer insanity of it. I doubt they get past the Braves, but no World Series winner would better represent 2020.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Kinsler is just dotting up sinkers on the outside corner to righties/inside corner to lefties and no one is swinging at them.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 And once again, we have confirmation that the Central divisions are a joke.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Cubs OUT. Now thats 6 of 7 central teams eliminated from the playoffs in the first round. Lets see if the Padres can make it a clean sweep tonight.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Patino's the primary pitcher behind Stammen, Padres were dealt a bad hand losing both Clevinger and Lamet...
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 This game is gonna end up like 15-14 or something
