He can't play the OF. This is not one game, this is practically every piece of sample size we've seen from him since the trade. I think he has intriguing offensive tools, but if he's strictly a DH, then he's not worth holding on to.

I don't know how he doesn't already work on it in the off-season and whatnot, its literally probably just a reps thing until he gets over his fear/gets more comfortable around catching flyballs.

Buntoyo had Villar at DH recently, so I'll agree putting Fisher at DH on those days instead would be fine. However, there are 14 (13 after tonight's loss) games left. They can't afford to work on his defence, especially since the flinch right before the ball dropped from his glove seems to indicate that it's mental with him. This is work he has to put in during the winter and into next season. Once Teoscar and Tellez get back, I'd much rather have Davis on the bench than Fisher.

I was honestly on the fence but his bat kept me hanging on. His bat won't play as a full time DH.

You think he has enough potential to keep? He can't play OF. It's not like he makes up the slack with his bat. He has just about 400 at bats hitting 196/289/379/668.

I dont think he's afraid of getting hit with the baseball, I think its more a fear of not making the play.

Every time the ball comes his way he's possibly having flashbacks.....LOL
