Could they forfeit? Does anybody in the bigs ever do that?

 

Last two have been fan related (Dodgers fans threw balls, which were the giveaway on to the field, and Disco demolition night). Jays had one in 1977 but that was about safety I think

Nope he is out of options. That's why him and Alford both made the team.

 

The IL is a good idea if you want to hoard him for next year and work on his yips (or whatever the hell his problem is) during the winter/spring.

Regardless...it's still true.

 

Reese McGuire had a 128 wRC+ in 105 PA last year - look at him this year. At least he can play defense. Fisher ios 27 - can't catch a routine fly ball - get rid of him !

Yamaguchi's going to have to take one for the team here. He's at 47 pitches. See if he can get to about 75. His season high is 59. He can be stretched out a bit. A quick inning would be helpful.

Charlie should have tried to squeeze a bit more out of Walker before pulling him. The Jays are f***ed for the next week, at least.

Just put Espinal in and forfeit the game for crying out loud.

There's no sense in leaving Kay in now

 

They should really have the option in MLB to forfeit if you are down by 10 or more after 6 innings

As others have pointed out, the networks wont allow that because they already charged for television advertising space.

Also fans who paid for tickets wont like having to leave in the 6th inning already.

 

Otherwise its a good idea though

this is bad enough for him to never touch the OF for us again. I'm surprised he's still out there for such an important game...

 

the 140 wRC+ is the reason he's in the lineup.
