Ray Verified Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Professional hitter Joe Panik getting it done.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Teoscar is looking like a core piece with the way he’s playing right now. Just add Austin Martin to the IF and Kirk at catcher, and I think we have a core right there assuming Hernandez is legit.

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Kirk should be added to the active roster now. Hopefully he is caught up with all the pitchers now. Jansen and McGuire basically giving you nothing.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Man Dolis and Cole have been effective for us, but those 2 aren't in a hurry when they get on the mound.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Come on Dolis, don't extend this. Induce a groundball right here so we can sleep in peace.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 NO ONE THROWING???? cmon man
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 NO ONE THROWING???? cmon man Dolis has this...
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Win!! Starters need to go deep tomorrow!!! X2
Dokken Verified Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Win!! Starters need to go deep tomorrow!!! X2 Apparently, that's not a thing anymore (unless you are talking 5 ip / 90 pitches being 'deep'). I can't argue though: that 3rd time through the order tends to be really awful if your name is not Scherzer, Cole, DeGrom, etc...../.
43211234 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 There are no Pace numbers for pitchers on Fangraphs for 2020 for some reason. I wanted to see just how slow Dolis has been relative to the league. Edit: For whatever it's worth, here's the leaderboard for Pace last season. Dolis had a 26.8 way back in 2013. The last season he was in the major leagues. I can't imagine he has sped up any since then.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Hernandez looks great Like top 5 AL MVP great. It's almost hard to explain.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Dolis and Cole are almost unbearably slow. The red sux broadcast made a point of saying how slow Hatch is at least 3 times tonight.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Like top 5 AL MVP great. It's almost hard to explain. Dante
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 People need to put some respect on Guillermo Martinez and Dave Hudgens. Teoscar has been raking since last season's second half, Gurriel continues to look like a legitimate above average big league hitter, Vladdy slowly but surely is getting his s*** together at the plate, Grichuk has been good even with his latest slump, Biggio has been a stud, Bo has done nothing but hit. I'm sure Dante is great and some have taken a liking to him but don't discount the work that Guillermo Martinez and the rest of the coaching staff have been doing to set a solid offensive foundation for a number of our core hitters.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 That was a god damn moonshot. I thought it was easily foul lol. It went into outer space so they called it a home run
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Awesome win for the boys last night, I was excited to see if Teoscar was able to maintain his gains from last year but he's found another gear and activated beast mode. Pitching continues to be great, Walker was a very astute pickup by the front office, I wouldn't be at all disappointed to see him retained going forward, he would be a nice Shoemaker replacement if he manages to stay healthy going forward.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Is teoscar our new Bautista? Seems like he dwindles away his early years, makes a small correction now he is becoming a star.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Is teoscar our new Bautista? Seems like he dwindles away his early years, makes a small correction now he is becoming a star. He's also a s***** fielder with a great arm, so that's another parallel.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 He's also a s***** fielder with a great arm, so that's another parallel. Before Bautista showed up with a noodle arm he was a decent right fielder though, not much range as he was pretty damn slow but far better instincts than Teoscar has displayed with less bone headed plays.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 He's also a s***** fielder with a great arm, so that's another parallel. To be Fair to Bau i feel like he was an O.K fielder when he was younger but as time went on it went down f***ing hill
