glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 The Legend finally about to make an appearance.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Man, I was somewhat optimistic about Hernandez with his statcast numbers since the 2nd half of last year + his walk rate, but if he's not walking at all anymore, it's going to be hard for him to be an above average hitter. He rarely walked. He is a very streaky player. I think he will be a DH going foward, reminds me of EE. Let him focus on hitting and less on fielding and he should be fine
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Sounds about right. Or he'll let some of his players get thrown out first, then allow the umpire to yell at him shortly after. That’s one of the funniest ejections in recent memory in the Shormaker start. Looks like he actually got bullied by the umpires. Funny but sad at the same time.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 That’s actually my biggest issue with Montoyo. Not the bunts, lineups, or BP decisions. He’s soft as cashmere. I haven’t seen him fight or argue about any s***** ump calls. He’ll just nod and go back to the dugout with his head down, like wtf man. Yeah, Gibby would come out and tell an ump to go f*** himself at a moment's notice. Charles is a pussy. He's a lot like John Farrell, actually, except somehow worse.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 So who are the available MLB managers out there?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 The Magic man is warming. Now you see him, now you don't.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Blue Jays media says Merryweather throws high 90’s and has touched 100. So I’m expecting him to come in and throw 91-93.

Last time I saw him in the minors, he was sitting 95-96 and T97 with a decent curveball. Has slider and change too.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I'm actually not sure this is really happening
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 So who are the available MLB managers out there? Literally any coach in the league who isn't already a manager
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I will see Donaldson's face everytime I hear the name "merryweather." Nonoressure lol
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Hes 28 lol. So he’s basically Cleveland’s Dustin McGowan.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Yeah, Gibby would come out and tell an ump to go f*** himself at a moment's notice. Charles is a pussy. He's a lot like John Farrell, actually, except somehow worse. My favorite Gibby ejection. Noticed that JD was pissed off and testing the umpire, so runs out there, pushes his player to the side, and lets the ump have it. I can't even imagine what Charlie would have done in that situation aside from be scared for his life.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Hes 28 lol. So he’s basically Cleveland’s Dustin McGowan. I hate how accurate that is.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 He looked pretty damn good there tbh. Very fluid delivery.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Damn that was a pretty good Merryweather.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 He might not be Jack Flaherty but hey he might be something!
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Dude what the hell man. Where has Merryweather been all this time?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Is there anyway he can start, or is he strictly a pen arm at this point in his career?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Dude what the hell man. Where has Merryweather been all this time? Apparently he’s always hurt.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Vlad jr, King of the long single

I can't even imagine Charlie having the balls to push Donaldson out of the way, never mind say anything.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Even when Vladdy does well, it pisses me off that he couldn't get a double out of it lol.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Is there anyway he can start, or is he strictly a pen arm at this point in his career? He was in the mix for the rotation last year until he got hurt IIRC
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Another Guerrero liner that he isn't able to turn into two bases. It's kind of funny and sad that as bad as he has looked at the plate at times he's also been unlucky I guess. But if he's in better shape that has to be two bases easily.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Is there anyway he can start, or is he strictly a pen arm at this point in his career? Idk, I'd give him the chance but we traded for him 2 years ago and he's barely played since, so...
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Is there anyway he can start, or is he strictly a pen arm at this point in his career? He hasn't pitched in pretty much 3 years, if he ever goes back to being a starter probably not going to be this year.
