bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Wow this pitcher sucks, come on boys
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 There's been a full seasons worth of painful losses in these first 18 games So much this, it's really flippin' bad.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Huge hacks from Teoscar coming up here
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Did Teo just tank the game? It's Rocker time.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 When the home team commentator questions whether some players even know the score or how many outs there are, that is not good. Buck should be happy he's no longer the worst manager in jays history anymore.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Wow this pitcher sucks, come on boys the Jays suck more
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Bellow average coaching staff is usually a good reason for it If you're on a major league team you shouldn't need a coach to teach you about fundamentals at this point.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Who the f*** is Aaron Slegers? He's the guy who is about to get his 1st MLB Save.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Been a long time lurker but had to register just to say how pathetic this little league program we got going on here feels.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I just realized the behind the plate lady is there, with a scarf around the cutout, lol. Good Chuckle, I needed that!
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I feel like getting the 3rd out with Shaw trying to steal 3rd would sum up our season here.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Buck is really letting them have it lol
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 And a Vladdy groundout to end it. Perfect example for the season so far.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Bautista got to 1st base quicker on his Bat Flip than Vlad did there.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Buck is really letting them have it lol Deservedly so, I really like it.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Nothing like watching Vlad's fat ass take a leisurely stroll down to 1st on a GB to cap off the team's second loss of the day.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 someone tell vladdy that running out grounders can help with the weight loss.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Whoever is managing for Montoyo is like his clone. I believe ejected managers still make the decisions. They just do it electronically.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Hernandez and Guerrero get themselves out. Why would anyone throw them a strike. Tellers can’t handle a high fastball. Biggio is what he is - below average. Jays need some serious development and Montoya sure doesn’t look like he’s capable
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 This team is kind of a joke. Could easily be a few games over .500 but they just aren’t ready to contend anyways. So many mistakes. Even if they somehow made it to the playoffs, there’s no f***ing way Montoyo would be able to manage a series win. Need to clean out the coaching staff next season and reset.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 This team should be a couple of games over .500 with better management and less errors EDIT: Stangstag beat me to it
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 hi did you guys already discuss the error around the best defensive outfielder on the team benched when he could have easily replaced Hernandez like what the f***ingg fuxk
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 someone tell vladdy that running out grounders can help with the weight loss. first base coach needs to motivate him with treats
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Hernandez and Guerrero get themselves out. Why would anyone throw them a strike. Tellers can’t handle a high fastball. Biggio is what he is - below average. Jays need some serious development and Montoya sure doesn’t look like he’s capable Except for the part where Hernandez has been on fire since the second half of last season, and that Guerrero has a wRC+ over 150 in August and in no way at all is Biggio remotely below average, you're right on with this post.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Hernandez has horrible plate discipline. He will regress to his career average as teams stop throwing him fastballs. Guerrero has super discipline in the minors, we don’t see that w Toronto. He swings at way too many bad pitches. Biggio will not be an above average MLB player - why is he batting leadoff?
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 If Biggio can get his BA up a bit (which I think he will) he's on target to hit between 25 and 30 dingers and an OPS of around 800 (assuming he gets 500 PA's). Thats not a below average player, thats above average
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Why do people still use batting average as some sort of measure of skill?
