We don’t say that name around these parts.

Funny thing is, a few years ago a LOT of posters on here were saying SRF will be a stud and Romano will be toiling in AAA or driving for UPS... I guess Romano has won the survivor series so far..

SRF had potential as a reliever but his velocity has fallen off a cliff. One of the most disappointing prospects in recent memory for me. Advanced command in high school and it seemingly got worse as his pro career went along. I thought at worst he would be a late inning reliever.

There's still a bit of hope. In terms of stuff, pedigree, and problems he is basically at the same stage as Touki Toussaint, who just dummied Toronto.

Kyle Drabek V 2.0

He threw 135.2 in 16, 150.1 in 17 and 174.2 in 18. He had injury issues last year and early in his minor league days. He's still only 26 years old.

He hasn't done it in the majors. I'm not saying he CAN'T be a good starter, I'm saying Borucki in the bullpen is not the worst idea based on his injury history.

A lights-out lefty multi-inning reliever has value too, it's not a death sentence.

I'm thrilled to see these starters actually getting multi innings, no reason to limit them to 1 inning per appearance.

I blame Yamaguchi.

Difference in this game: Red Sox 1st baseman can hit homeruns. Ours can’t get the ball out of the infield. This team needs better production out of 1st base. Your 1st baseman can’t OPS 650 and expect to compete.

Back to back errors by the pitcher today. Still not on the level we need to be, but lots of things are starting to click. We need the team to take a few more steps in the right direction before the end of september
