Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Doolittle looked terrible that inning. Sitting 89 and only topping out at 90. Got some good swings off him. Yeah he did. And the 3 guys he faced are terrible hitters.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Yeah he did. And the 3 guys he faced are terrible hitters. He only faced Panik and Espinal since Rainey got the first out, and both rocked him lol.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I vaguely remember before Galvis was put on waivers last season, Montoyo was basically setting the entire lineup around getting Galvis in there. Panik is going to play a lot. A lot. Minor league manager + big league vetrin = bad combo. Montoyo gave him a few starts at DH from what I remember to get his “big bat” in the lineup.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Waguespack with the two shutdown innings just like we all expected.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Waguespack giving 2 solid innings is huge here.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Atta boy Reese. We really need to see more of these shift busting bunts, especially to start the inning.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I forgot about Font. He was great for us last year.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Waguespack with the two shutdown innings just like we all expected. Spanky’s championship run continues
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Is it just me or do the nationals look like garbage
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 The Nats look like my high school team. And we were terrible.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I forgot about Font. He was great for us last year. I'm not sure I'd tie the word great and Font together. Serviceable yes.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Is it just me or do the nationals look like garbage They have, but we've also gotten the benefit of not seeing Juan Soto, Carter Kieboom or any of their three elite starters.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 They have, but we've also gotten the benefit of not seeing Juan Soto, Carter Kieboom or any of their three elite starters. 100% but they haven't had to deal with big Bo
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 That was a damn lucky bounce for the Nats.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I'm not sure I'd tie the word great and Font together. Serviceable yes. 12k/2bb .08 fWAR 3.66 ERA 3.61 xFIP I'd say good, possibly great.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Is it just me or do the nationals look like garbage Rendon was a huge loss. With Soto out with Covid and we're in a 4 game set and are only going to see Scherzer and miss Strasburg and Corbin things couldn't have worked out better.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Man, what a dumb steal of third that proved completely unnecessary
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 f*** yeah, the offense looks great.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Boo ya Telez! There's that clutch hit we needed.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Damn, Tellez drilled that. 111.4 mph.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 12k/2bb .08 fWAR 3.66 ERA 3.61 xFIP I'd say good, possibly great. Sure good for us, but it seems like you're ignoring that he played for 3 teams last year and put up a 4.72 FIP for the year combined. He was not so good, or hot garbage prior to joining us.
