I'm not getting into a back and forth but it's pretty classic for the unpopular but loud minority to think they represent the interests of most people. People are afraid to oppose the mob because they could lose their job.

 

Polls show a significant public majority support the demonstrators. In such a situation, rebranding can make business sense, whether its the Redskins, Aunt Jemima, or whatever.

Carrying on the farce theme, apparently Juan Soto and Viktor Robles have not yet joined the Nationals because of local Washington DC rules which differ from MLB and other cities.

Same. Would have liked if there were more games and the season started earlier, but if 60 games is all we get, then I'll take it. I miss baseball and the Blue Jays. Hopefully the season can begin and end on time. The winner will have an asterisk next to it, but so will the winner of every sport that is resuming/starting in 2020. It is what it is.

Not sure, they just won't play the theme to start it up, and they've done their part.

* = Making the playoffs and world series in possibly the toughest schedule (AL + NL). It would be quite a feat in my opinion, rather than downgrading the achievement.

Yeah, the Jays making the playoffs with 78% of their games being against the Yanks, Mets, Rays, Braves, Phillies, Nats, and Red Sox would be pretty impressive. It would still have an asterisk due to the lack of games played overall, but the Jays making it would be way more legitimate than a team from the Central making it.
