Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Makes sense besides Ozuna I guess as nobody else is worth that aav. Gausman actually wasn’t worth it but guess they like him as SP Ozuna's exempt of the QO.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Tomoyuki Sugano Could Be Posted For MLB ClubsNovember 2nd, 2020 at 12:50pm CST • By Steve Adams Yomiuri Giants right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano could be posted for Major League teams this winter, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports. It’s not yet certain that he’ll be made available, but the Giants are considering the move for one of the more accomplished pitchers in Japan given that he’ll be eligible for unrestricted international free agency next winter. Sherman adds that NPB’s Nippon Ham Fighters may post a pair of players themselves: fellow righty Kohei Arihara and outfielder Haruki Nishikawa.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Liberal Mounties, lol... suck farts 'murican. I'm more interested in his lack of a gut. Unless thats one great "suck in" job, he's trending in the right direction. Compare that to the guy who started the season lol.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Before we throw Puig under the bus, "at an LA Lakers game in 2018" In the docs, the woman alleged, "she was forced into a bathroom and Yasiel Puig grabbed at her trying to take her clothes off, touched her sexual organs during this struggle, and eventually pinned her with 1 arm and used his other to stroke his own penis, exposing himself, and eventually ejaculating." The woman says in her lawsuit, she was "simply heading to use the bathroom" -- and did not go to the restroom with the intention of having a sexual encounter with Puig. This sounds completely unbelieveable lol.* So he dragged her into the bathroom, jerked off on her in a corner at a basketball game? And no one was around to witness? *I am willing to take back my comments if he is found guilty. They'll settle out of court and no one will be allowed to speak about it.

So I think a team like Toronto should pass on giving their best assets for one year. Might make more sense for big market club

So I think a team like Toronto should pass on giving their best assets for one year. Might make more sense for big market club There's a right price for him even without the extension. He has value above his 1/$21M (likely) salary and he is a difference maker. The trade cost in terms of prospects should not be tremendous but if most teams would happily pay Trevor Bauer 1/$30M to 1/$35M then it might be reasonable to say that Lindor is worth a prospect package worth something like $10M or $15M. That might only mean one good but not great prospect: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/an-update-to-prospect-valuation/ And then you can make the additional argument that if he is willing to sign an extension as part of the trade there is some value to that too. It saves the acquiring team the trouble of bidding for him.

Yeah, I think the effort is no doubt going to be there. In these cases though, you have success stories that just expect success and then you have Daniel Snyders. I foresee him being the former though, we’ll see
