I'm less invested than you are in the fortunes of the Toronto Blue Jays. It's OK - everyone is different.

And like Org says, the Angels have some pieces to move if they decide to trade for an ace: Adell, Marsh, Adams, Detmers, maybe something around Fletcher. It would empty out an already thin system, but they could make it happen.

Screw the Angels. They've done nothing but f*** up for years. Those poor people in LA need another title. Why even post on the Jays message board? I'm sure there is an Angels message board you can discuss baseball on...lol. You are right. I am more emotionally invested in the Jays. f*** the Angels, Yankees and Red Sox. Go Jays!

You're the one discussing your beloved Angels in the General Blue Jays Discussion Thread. Seems a bit off topic. I can't help but wonder if you've knocked back a few pints yourself.

I asked because you seem irrationally upset about a benign baseball post on a forum that currently has like 30 posts per day, and it's hard for me to imagine a sober and healthy middle aged adult making the posts you've made over the last hour or so.

So now I'm a mentally unstable drunk because I don't like the Angels and find it ridiculous that someone posting on a Jays fan board would rather Bauer sign with the Angels than the Jays. That's one high horse indeed that you're riding on.

Mentally unstable or drunk. Not a mentally unstable drunk. I think either are sufficient on their own to explain your behaviour.

You're a middle aged adult having a meltdown because I said it would be cool if the Angels added an ace to their team to help end Mike Trout's suffering.

Yes, in a general blue jays message board discussion board, let's hope that the Angels blow over the cap and get Bauer and Gray just to make the playoffs.

I'm going to hope the Jays get Bauer and Gray and they will still have 50 mil less in payroll than the Angels. Who would the Angels even have to trade for Gray. Screw the Angels.

I think it is relevant because Bauer has been linked to the Angels and then they went and got Iglesias ... Which could be a pre-cursor move to something like a Bauer play. That obviously affects our SP fortunes.. Also maybe one less location/competition for Brad Hand... I wouldn't get so bent out of shape about it, it is just baseball talk..

The guy lives in California. He will make more money than any player in baseball history. I'm not sure the words suffering and Mike trout belong in the same sentence. I know. You're a fan of the game, more than a fan of the Blue Jays. I'd rather see the Jays sign Bauer and have a shot at the world series. What a crazy position to have..lol.

It was just a bit of baseball scuttlebutt, I'm pretty sure everyone here would rather Toronto to win a WS before the Angels. You got heated man, not good for the heart. I know, I should talk... :P

Personally, I'd like to see Trout win a ring, just not at the Birds expense!

fair enough. If multiple articles about the blue jays willingness to spend and being in on everyone with things being imminent hadn't been written every day for the last 10 days I might not have been such an insufferable prick. I'm not used to having expectations going into an off season. Last year Ryu came off as a pleasant shocking surprise. This year I expect the Jays to do something!

FWIW I'd be stoked if the Jays signed Bauer. It was just a throwaway comment comment about how I also think it would be cool if the Angels were able to actually field a good team around Trout/Rendon/Ohtani.

TBH I kind of enjoy the endless suffering of the Angels. Baseball needs loser teams and there are only, what, five true loser franchises right now?

I do hope Mike Trout gets traded and wins a world series when he's 37 though.

Angels, Rockies, Orioles, Pirates for sure. Reds? Marlins? Mets seem have been saved by Steve Cohen.

Angels have to punt Pujols to the office, what's his next milestone, has anyone told him he sucks now and it's embarrassing? They've got a decent team if they shored up SP.

I don't consider the Pirates losers anymore with new FO.

I actually watch what they have been doing now with a lot of positive interest and optimism.

Their ownership and old FO have been so bad that it will take awhile for them to climb out of loser territory. That's a lot of stink to wash off.

Their owner Nutting's still a ****, but I've liked the direction their taking, Huntington could draft like a champ, but his trade acquisitions were brutal, he had to go.

Are the Angels really worse than the Mariners? Seattle hasn't even made the playoffs since the Angels won the World Series in 2002. They have 18 and 19 year playoff droughts in a franchise that has only existed for 44 seasons.

They have never made the playoffs in a division with more than 4 teams, which is insane.

It's true, the M's should be in the first category. Big losers. I forgot how high some of their recent payrolls were

Agreed. I think it would be great for the Pirates to be good again. Great stadium, good history and great uniforms. I wish you could take the TB front office and move it to Pittsburgh.

This is a good point. I don't know why, but I always perceive the Mariners as being respectable even though they often aren't. They haven't had consecutive 0.500 seasons since 2002 and 2003!

M's won't be a loser team for much longer, unless they really f*** up what they've got going on now

I have a wait and see attitude regarding the Mariners. We've seen them struggle to develop hitters for a long time and that is the strength of their farm system. Evan White's season didn't inspire much confidence.
