Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 That's a lot of thic bois What's even crazier about this is Vlad and Rowdy's weights are probably off by at least 20-30+ lbs.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Pffft. Vladdy @ 250 lbs. Puh-lease.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 That's a lot of thic bois That's rookie weight, unless they change that s*** now.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Vlad was probably between 280-290 during the start of the season. Might be in the 265-275 range now. I think we should be thrilled if Vlad is ever in the 250 range again.

I don't know if I see it or not.

I think Tellez at 6'4" 255 lb seems a lot closer to current reality than Guerrero who is listed as 2 inches shorter and 5 pounds less. It seems Tellez somewhat maintained the weight loss he had when showing up in Feb. I am guessing Vlad is currently more like 270-280 lb (assuming the 6'2" is accurate). That ass is huge!

I think we should be thrilled if Vlad is ever in the 250 range again. I think the weight may be affecting his game. He probably needs to get down to 240-250 (maybe less) and maintain to fully achieve his potential, especially longer-term.

I don't know if I see it or not. I think they said 10 lbs. He's probably gained some strength since the start of camp which is the big thing.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I think they said 10 lbs. He's probably gained some strength since the start of camp which is the big thing I think 10lbs is accurate. My girlfriend even noticed a slight weight loss on TV. He's got more to go though. I'd say at least 20 lbs more

Dokken Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 You can't lose weight and gain strength at the same time unless you're on steroids... You don't need to put on more muscle mass to get stronger, just better 'conditioning' the existing muscles. So that along with losing some of his copious amounts of flab, it is very reasonable to expect both.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 So who are the Jays sending down to make room for all these trade deadline acquisitions?
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 So who are the Jays sending down to make room for all these trade deadline acquisitions? Waguspack will be out for Stripling Panik is out for Villar (maybe espinal will be out actually since he has options) SRF out for Ray
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Waguspack will be out for Stripling Panik is out for Villar (maybe espinal will be out actually) SRF out for Ray Most likely Espinal will be out for Villar since he has options and the latter can and has played SS.

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Ross Stripling is Buck approved Vetrin Presence
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Drury —> Vogelbach Thornton —> Walker Espinal (or Panik) —> Villar Reid-Foley —> Ray Waguespack —> Stripling Wow, quite the upgrade. We have Giles and Bo coming back soon too. But with our luck, we'll have other guys out at that point.

Dokken Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Yes actually, you do. So you never heard of muscle tone ?! Did you ever wonder why a relatively skinny guy like Ted Williams could hit all those HRs ?
TheDragon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 So you never heard of muscle tone ?! Did you ever wonder why a relatively skinny guy like Ted Williams could hit all those HRs ? I was talking about strength, not the ability to hit homeruns.
Dokken Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I was talking about strength, not the ability to hit homeruns. so it doesn't require strength to hit the ball hard?
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I was talking about strength, not the ability to hit homeruns No offense dude, but the fail is strong with this post
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Increasing muscle mass and increasing strength are not the same thing. You do not need to increase mass to increase strength.
TheDragon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 so it doesn't require strength to hit the ball hard? Strength + speed = power. You're talking more about speed...
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 You can't lose weight and gain strength at the same time unless you're on steroids... Yes you can. In fact, the most effective way to lose weight is to gain strength.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 so who's starting tomorrow?
TheDragon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 No offense dude, but the fail is strong with this post Probably delete your post because claiming my post is a fail when you're wrong makes you look pretty damn stupid, sorry. Wait, too late, I just quoted you.
TheDragon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Yes you can. In fact, the most effective way to lose weight is to gain strength. You don't understand body building then...
