I wouldn't mind Sidall sitting in see how that goes. I think he did some games last year but I can't remember if it was with Shulman or like a rotation of guys. I don't think they have to go full advanced stats to make it better.

Why does Buck keep getting hired over the networks current guys?

I've said this before but I think the best way to integrate advanced stats into the broadcast is via the sideline reporter vector.

I don't think anyone is too enthralled by Hazel Mae or Arash Madani's sideline reports that Trent Thornton is working on his changeup this month, based on a youtube video he saw.

Swap those segments out for someone who is able to present interesting and entertaining tidbits from more advanced analytics!

Buck is 71, bit surprising that it's Pat sitting out and not him, but I'm not complaining!

Alcohol is a good disinfectant, and since Buck is always sloshed, he's immune to the virus.

I agree. He got on my dong for drunk posting. And I was actually starting to warm up to Boxy.

If pointing out you were unhinged is "getting on your dong" I'd say you have some sensitivity issues.

See, now, not only did you say I was unhinged, but now I'm an oversensitive snowflake. Totally done as a Boxcar fanboy.

Agreed 100%. Use that dead air time to actually introduce that sort of thing to the fans.

I highlight the following from the article,I'm not sure who is 26, but I think they are ALL younger than 26. Nice to see the attention though.

"But a Toronto team with all kinds of upside in Guerrero, Bichette, Biggio and Gurriel is the one I had the hardest time leaving out of the top 10. All four of those guys is 26 or younger (in fact, the Blue Jays’ average age for their projected lineup is 26) and all four showed spectacular flashes in 2019"

Gurriel is 26. Will be 27 in October.

Except Roark...even Walker couldn't go there after today's homerfest.

If you're expecting an ace out of Roark, you're sadly mistaken. Guy's a backend SP, he is what he is.

Doesn't sound good for their chances of playing here. But Buffalo still doesn't have MLB lighting and I don't think Dunedin does either unless they updated that.

OTTAWA -- Canada's deputy public health officer says the federal government would be having “a different conversation” with the Toronto Blue Jays about playing regular-season games at Rogers Centre if the United States and Canada were at similar stages in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Howard Njoo said Tuesday that discussions are ongoing between the Canadian government and the Major League Baseball team, but he said the issue of having American-based teams continually crossing the U.S.-Canada border makes talks about hosting regular-season games “a totally different ball game” than the approved plan to allow the Jays to hold training camp at their home facility.

Njoo said the federal, Ontario and Toronto governments were comfortable with the measures the Blue Jays put in place to safely train as a team at Rogers Centre.

However, on the issue of crossing the border, he said Canada is in a different place than the U.S. with regards to COVID-19 “from a pure epidemiological point of view.”

Njoo said while Canada typically records around 300 new COVID-19 cases daily, the United States records over 60,000 cases per day.

The Jays have stated their preference is to play at Rogers Centre and their alternatives are either TD Ballpark in Dunedin Fla., in the middle of a coronavirus hot spot, or Sahlen Field in Buffalo, which is not considered up to major-league standards.

The Blue Jays' season opener is July 24 at Tampa Bay. The home opener is July 29 against Washington.
